I honestly am starting to lean towards thinking you are bullshitting at this point. Dice's cap mega wasn't asked it is verified now, even if there are 'other' dice caps that would be favoring towards certain caps if you only asked 'certain' captains on top squads and it's not even confirmed whether they were asked, and so far I havent heard of any 'past TWL caps' or 'Top ladder squads' saying they voted for 10. Either way, my initial paragraph up there to you underlines how 'top ladder squads' voting for it was flawed anyway.

Assuming I'm lying is always a good way to help your argument. After seeing this thread with all the general hating, why would any cap want to admit they voted for 10? Mega can ask his other caps who voted, they are all captains so they all have a say, one is not more "worthy." You are just doing the same thing you claim I am doing, choosing which cap's answer you like the best.

Edit: I managed to watch the Diso vs Basingcrew match with the 2 terrs. It was nice to see that a lot of people in spec were strategizing and generally interested in what was going to happen. Really livened the place up I understand you thoroughly hate the idea Dwopple. If it's a bust after a month (dont forget we could have had 2 months if testing wasnt ended early) then I am willing to remove it. I would be interested to see if your squad tries it out and let me knows what happens. Or any other squads, for that matter. Diso/BC'ers, how was the experience?

Disoblige is a better, and more entertaining squad than most of the ones that have ever played the game. Jesus man, people don't watch TWL just to admire 2d spaceship game skills - they want to be amused. Disoblige is a fucking survivor man, they've made us laugh time and time again. yes efhat we lost all our games last season with 15:0. we surely didn't beat the league's runner's up while playing 'pallies-style' (with a wb+jav) purely because we knew they'd have no answer to it.

Obviously it's a TWD game, TWL isn't running and 2 terrs haven't been allowed in TWLB before so therefore there are no statistics from a LB game featuring 2 terrs for me to cite. Obviously it would be different, but presumably it would be more competitive from both sides. And also considering that TWD is supposed to lock come the middle of next month (round-a-bout) I would think that it's kind of competitive at the moment as people vie for top spots. So seriously, think before you type, because you are really genuinely retarded.

As per your comment directed at bram. Again, you're retarded. (And as a note, so is Dwopple.) Bram was saying that at one point AFS were allowed in TWL as a response to someone else comparing allowing 2 terrs to allowing any ships in TWLD. You interpreted this as "5v5 wb is the dominate line and everyone used it therefore 1-2-5 is the dominate line and everyone will continue to use it therefore the cap on terrs should stay in place." Now, that's just retarded.

In the interest of furthering logical discussion about these new rules I too am done responding to the two of your posts. Read things for what they are, don't twist them to fit your argument because the only result in that is posts that are misstatements followed by clarifying posts: a waste of space. Or better yet, stop reading forums altogether.

sure id love to try it, just not in a bd/lb where that kinda stuff actually counts. base is on the iffy line simply because most ppl love to screw around in there...

removing the 2 blocks idea was first put in BASE2, so ppl like me didnt flip out and had a gradual urge to try it out....2 terrs would best be suited for base2 imo...

I've played TWLB a couple seasons, and random LD here and there. I've only played 10 years, not 15. I rarely even sit in a public arena since I was on Dependency in 00-02/3 because that superterr thing was fun. The problem with you is, you don't even have your facts straight. You think because you've played some playoff LB that you're automatically right? 12 and 14 year olds have won on LB squads, it really has nothing to do with presenting an arguement worth listening to. You do realize the more you talk, the more damage you're doing to the very point you're trying to ma... oh that's right, that was just a personal attack with no point whatsoever. You're smart!

noone has considered this yet; twld has 2 extra squads than the other 2 leagues meaning 2 extra matches in regular season, therefore an extra 2 weeks of LD will take place over LJ and LB....so will LD start 2 weeks before the other 2 (meaning they will be pushed to mid-november) or will the LD final be played 2 weeks after we already have our LJ and LB champs?

This was why when I ran it twice I didn't change the number of squads in only one league, and one of the main reasons I didn't want it raised this year

2. Mirr, the BC/diso game where BC used two terriers was quite a hassle. Entertaining hassle! We didn't have the best of lines in, but we managed to win - if BC would have been smarter with the two terriers they might've actually won.

3. Do you guys know why expansion packs exist? They bring something new.

Going there was lots of people in spec watching a novelty game is nothing to judge anything on …

The time for changes like this are the TWD reset to qualify for TWL – there should be a rule that TWL is played under the same conditions as you qualified for it – i.e. map and ship restrictions

There has already been the blocks change which I agreed with after testing and it has made cram easier to break whilst also cram still being the best tactic to defend.

But this decision is ill thought out and introduced way too late … as far as I’m concerned it is by far and away over-stepping the boundaries of the power a TWL op has … if you where serious about getting proper input this should have been a separate thread here advertised in ?go base and the ?twbd maps and also tested properly in TWD BEFORE THE RESET and opinions taken account then whether or not to bring it in for a full TWD and TWL … not asking some staff mates and testing it a few weeks before the start …

I didn’t bother getting involved in the spider limit thread as I’ve read enough of them over the years and my opinion is that there shouldn’t be one… but I didn’t realise that a spider limit thread was going to result in changing the terr limit just before TWL


Change for the sake of change is just asking for trouble. I’m not against change in TWL or TWD. I would welcome radicle changes that would add more variable games than a 1 terr 2 shark 5 spid line, as it was there the lev and weasel serve no purpose and could provide 2 ships to remodel that would add something to the game.

But something that is planed properly, given adequate testing and not some bullshit on a whim to appease ppl whining about not enough change going on ... games are boring wah wah wah
