Just because there isn't a rule made for it doesn't mean you can't make a rule for it, even making a rule that stands for the rest of the season would be better then just giving free reign for people to abuse this bug in TWL.

I agree. Which is why I said I am looking into a way to resolve this issue for the rest of the season-But I'm not going to apply the new rule for this situation ex post facto.

In my rush to get to work I wanted to comment on the thread but also elaborate when I got to work. Then it was going to be reopened but it looks like I didnt get to elaborate quick enough so I'll say it here. (I think I've been pretty good about letting discussions continue, how long were those threads bashing me for various things in the past? You guys are so quick to hate!)

I see everyone's point and I do agree it's lame. Something will be looked into to solve the issue, but right now there is no rule against it. Everyone can say we should just do what the bot says, but then no one can report a player for lagging if the bot hasnt specced them. We have a rule about a flag jupe, so I can see a rule being created for a "sub jupe." But one does not exist right now.

A lot of you are mentioning how much Thunder abuses rules, appeals everything to get a win, etc. and how they deserve to lose the appeal or else I'm agreeing with what they do. Unfortunately, that would be a very biased decision-making process. Thunder is good at finding holes. I tried correcting holes from last season in this season's rules, but something will always be missing. People have pointed out the "10 deaths max rule" and the "allowed to make a sub at anytime" rule. These rules conflict in this situation. I still feel the latter better fits the circumstance based on the information, but I agree that it is a lame thing to do.

As an aside, these arguments about how TWL Ops love Thunder are amusing. What about the appeal Thunder lost? Guess we were having a bad relationship day. I'd also like to point out that Thunder, Dice, Rape, Pirates, Sweet, and I'm sure others that I can't remember right now, have all accused me of hating them or acting biased against them. They also all happened to be on the wrong end of a decision. So if I'm biased then I'm equally biased against everyone ^-^

You guys can justify the decision any way you want, I'm not stopping you, just thought I'd share that a lot of the squads think I hate them, or that I'm biased towards "important" squads, or w.e million accusations I get, so you're not alone Of course when they get their way that bias/hate magically disappears... until the next decision is unfavorable for them. So if you wanna disagree with me go ahead, but this "bias/hate" thing is silly.

Nobody has any right to close this thread to be honest with you, this isn't the official appeal thread, in fact this thread is so I could explain why I wasn't writing HoN this weekend. If we don't have the right to complain about a terrible call from the TWL coordinator then there is a serious problem with the situation. A better solution would be trying to explain why such a terrible decision was made instead of closing a thread and saying not to talk about it anymore.

So in the off chance this thread is closed down I guess someone realized they made a bad call and decided to hush it up instead of admitting that they were wrong. If the league was to happen to be ran in this kind of way, I wouldn't really want to offer my help to the league anymore until another coordinator stepped in.

unless someone has video proof that ease didnt die before he was subbed....wouldnt it be smart to go by what the matchbot/f2 have? That is, ease dying out...eh eh?

It's possible to die and enter specator mode at the same time, or die and change ship at the same time, just try it out in ?go javs or something, if you time it really well it will eventually happen. The game is far from perfect. That's what allows someone to die while the bot is processing their sub. It's not bot lag in processing the sub, it's something any one of us can duplicate on our own - dying and changing ship/freq when timing the change perfectly.
If what I'm reading is true, then I've seen the same situation happen in TWD games, intentionally, and I've actually warned people (rarely, only if they do it over and over) for abusing this bug in the bot - the score in the f2 box tells all.
