TWLD (One or Two Weeks)?

Alright, basically what we have here is a question as to whether or not we play one TWLD match per week (2 weeks) or play both TWLD matches on the same day (1 week).

I want to know what you guys think as to what you all would rather prefer...
Two games lasting two weeks, or, two games within the same day; one week?

We "Mad" have talked to Ph about this already and he seemed semi-interested in the idea, saying...

Ph> I'll brb, need to defrost this turkey, but while I do that, I'm going to think on it

So give some feedback as to what you all would want to do.

Also, congrats to Dice, Mad, Thunder, Shinobi, Boss and Respect for making it into eliminations for TWLJ. Dice and Mad of course already qualifying for semi-finals.

Congrats also out to Respect, Sage, Dice, Mad, Brainwave, and Penetrate for making it into eliminations for TWLB. Respect and Sage of course already qualifying for semi-finals.

Epidemic, Mad, and Thunder, regardless of losses, already making it into TWLD. Question is, can everyone else, who's in the next three positions, hold their spots, or will Dice and/or Fatal make a comeback and claim their seats in the TWLD eliminations.

Theres some important games coming up for squads so if they cant get a key player or two to show up next week it would possibly have an impact on that. That being said, we're good to go..im not aware of anyone that cant show up next week. I dont understand why we'd break from the normal though

Same theory goes in that if you wait two weeks, rather than one, you're still not 100% sure as to who will all show up for those two weeks.

Except if you miss one of the two then you're only penalized on one of those games instead of both.

I'm just saying this from a player's perspective that it would suck for us, dice, sage, rapid, or fatal who are all competing for 3 spots that you're going to condense it to one week and if one of your players cant show up to that week then you're going to have a much harder time winning either of those two games.

At this point in the league, I doubt anyone has room for "penalization's". If you're not capable of getting five people to show up, regardless it being one week or two, for even just one match then I would highly suggest just going ahead and dropping out of the league. Just a personal opinion.

It's not a matter of not showing 5, its which 5 you're showing. We havent played 'doubleheaders' all season long why start now?

I understand you guys show up the same 5 every week more or less so its not really a problem for you. I havent had that same luxury and neither have many other squads. Surprising as it may be this game isnt the priority for a lot of people who have to be told saturday afternoon what time the game is so they dont miss it :P

Well depending on the wait, eliminations for both TWLJ and TWLB will only take so long. If you played two weeks of TWLD you'd still have a long waiting period as to when eliminations will finish and semi-finals can start. A week is a long time to wait. You have to consider those who aren't in TWLD, but in one, or both, of the other leagues. Even then, do we want to wait two more weeks for two matches of TWLD, rather than say, wrapping it up in one more week, then going straight into eliminations.

I dunno, it's really up to every squad that is currently still in TWLD to decide.

Not necessarily the same theory because the extra week gives squads an additional opportunity to improve their line (of course, some key players might be unable to show the following week and consequently, it could hurt some lines). But the fact of the matter is, the opportunity to present a different line will exist (if split into two weeks).



But I would personally support the idea of holding two games in one week if: (1) it wouldn't be too much of a burden on staff and (2) all squads could present their best lines.
**Right now, staff could make an effort to confirm the number of potentially available ERs for next weekend, and squads could confirm whether or not their top line will be able to show. And by a certain day, let's say Friday, if everyone is on the same page (specifically, all for it), then why not?

More importantly, there should be 100% agreement on this matter. Like Izor said, the system has been set to schedule one game a week. There's no point in changing the system if not all squads can agree because then it wouldn't equally benefit everyone, it'd only benefit squads with the luxury (such as yours) of having great WB depth (in other words, hella warbirds)

Well what I was more so getting at was, say...

One week basis: Squads are able to have their best players show, both games happen within that time-frame. I understand the problems that could persist in the happenings of which that doesn't go down in that manner, rather the exact opposite.

Two week basis: Here's what I was trying to emphasize. If one week, your top line shows, yay! for you, but if the concluding/following week doesn't goes as planned, you're just as much in the shitter than say having played both games in one week.

I really dont have to consider those other squads, because mine doesnt participate in those leagues.

Those leagues didnt have to cram 2 games into one day like its some rush to get the league over with, so why should we? For what it's worth, I'd recommend doing their playoffs sooner if its an issue to wait a week or two.

If you need every squad to agree on this you already failed. QS says no.

I am sorry to say this, but there would not be an issue with the lack of TWL hosts, for a couple of simple reasons:

#1: If this were to happen, then there would be a total of 12 games for <ER>'s and Mods to host. During the season there was 21 (and at the beginning, 22) games to host, so dropping it to 12 for a week wouldn't be hard at all, thus I believe there would be enough hosts.

#2: Some (although not many, if I may add that) of the possible hosts had to play TWLJ / TWLB thus could not host any games during those time slots. Now that the season is over for those two leagues, they should have the time to host matches, myself included.

Unfortunately you really can't go and just do this. Have to speak with all squads and see if they agree with it, however I don't really want to wait for 3 to 4 weeks without playing. :fear:
