TWLD (One or Two Weeks)?

I really dont have to consider those other squads, because mine doesnt participate in those leagues.

Those leagues didnt have to cram 2 games into one day like its some rush to get the league over with, so why should we? For what it's worth, I'd recommend doing their playoffs sooner if its an issue to wait a week or two.

If you need every squad to agree on this you already failed. QS says no.

I don't need anything for this to happen or fail, considering it's really up to Ph to decide. This thread was more so for feedback rather than tallying up the differences.

But, if that's your attitude towards your squad, saying that you don't have faith in the fact that everyone will show up every week, then that's you. Take this into consideration, regardless of what happens, you're going to need to get your guys online every week from this point on "referring to QS" if you even stand a chance of winning TWLD. A personal opinion, take no offense.

Why would you even post it for discussion if you basically dont care about the negative criticism you're going to receive?

You want to talk about me not having faith in my squad, but you dont have faith in your squad to wait a few weeks and keep the same skills they have that gotten them into the playoffs? We'll keep the talk about winning LD in other threads where they belong, as this thread has nothing to do with my squads chances in LD and everything to do with the good setup thats out there in the playoff picture, and how this idea would negatively impact that setup.

I'm not taking offense/defense over the comments in this post, but I'd like to retort about the comments being made with my own personal opinion.

Waiting two weeks has nothing to do with any squad really, seeing as that is the current TWL setup as of now. I'm more so focusing on if we should just kill two birds with one stone, in a manner of speaking. You're taking offense on all of this, disregarding any other option as to how this could go down.

Anyways, this is becoming repetitive, so I'll leave it here.

The only reason I was responding to your comments was because you seemed biased about the matter. I was just trying to throw in alternative suggestions to you as to why it would be a more positive thing, but in all, you've said your part, as did I; no harm, no foul.

good idea stylez. As twlj and twlb have already proceeded to the playoffs, it would make sense to finish off ld as soon as possible instead of making the lj and lb squads wait longer for ld to finish.

I just wanted to also point out, regardless of the other two leagues beginning/halting their continuation of those divisions, we'd "TWLD participants" would have to wait another week to finish our matches.

If the other two leagues were to begin, that would just mean that TWLD would have a proceeding weekend to finish off one last match. Now if they were to wait on TWLD to finish before carrying on with all of TWL, then we'd still have to wait that extra week to do a single match. Which the second option of the two involves all squads in TWL.

It's either, you don't mind TWL extending for another week (which, indeed, would make more of a strenuous and time consuming disadvantage for everyone, even QS'ers) or that you decide to get all of your guys online this next Sunday and getting TWL over with asap.

I may sound as if I'm trying to sway your opinion on this subject and honestly, I may just be, but regardless, I, personally, want to get this over with so everyone, including myself, can carry on with regular life.

Well if you can't manage to field 5 players to 2 single rounds then you guys are going to be fucked in playoffs when it's 3 rounds

Regardless of what happens with LD, it's not really fair to make the basers and javs wait 3 weeks to play another TWL game. It's boring enough having to play a bad squad (no offense), but not playing anything is going to kill alot of interest.

Like Turban said, getting enough TWL Hosts for 2 rounds of TWLD in one day isn't a problem. We would still have to host less games than normal, since TWLJ and TWLB don't have any games to be hosted. If we would start with TWLJ and TWLB playoffs already, we would still have to host less games too. But starting with the playoffs already next week wouldn't differ much, since we'd still have to wait for TWLD to finish so finals of all 3 leagues can start in the same weekend. I agree, waiting for 2 weeks so TWLD can finish is boring, but is it really that much different than last season(s)? Maybe squad captains can motivate their key players to start showing up in these 2 weeks for their playoffs, or they can use those two weeks to sort out every personal issues they have so they are able to show when the playoffs start?

There will be no TWL next Sunday. It's Thanksgiving weekend, and if you're on this side of the pond and you don't have anything other than spaceships to be thankful for, you are a sad hollowed-out shell of a person. Go do something else and I'll see you again on December 6th.

With that said, there are no problems staff-wise with combining weeks 10 and 11. What I'm more concerned with are the squads in the middle of this dogfight for playoff spots. I don't want anyone getting screwed. So if everyone involved agrees to a 12-game birdfest 13 days from now, then let's fucking do it. I'll be polling LD captains in-game and posting the results here as they come in. Captains, if you see this post before I talk to you in-game, hit me up or just post your answer here, the sooner the better.

i don't think epidemic cares either way (we're just happy we don't have to play this weekend, thunder probably would have won as we'd be lacking good people), probably rather have them in one week to get the waste of time that those two games are out of the way.
