no i wan't joking mela, and that was exactly my point, it's not a huge reward anyone would care about not getting, but it would still be a nice reward and could help get TWSD off its feet, if anyone cares to do that

humid, if you're going to have more teams in ld then please utilize bye weeks, that's one thing i do wish i would have done last season rather than making javs and basers sit on their hands for a month while ld finished up

shouldn't be too hard to do, just give two squads a bye in ld every week from weeks 4 to 8 or so

Let's take a look at this schedule, as you can see if we stick to it, including 1 week for preseason, 1 week for make-ups, and 4 weeks for playoffs, we can finish before x-mas break. If we do not, we all have to wait 4 weeks for finals, and I think that would suck for everyone. Obviously TWLB playoffs will not take more than 4 weeks, but can TWLD and TWLJ be done in 4? Seems like it, if 8 teams make playoffs it takes 4 games, if you have 7 teams, first place can have a first round bye, either way it takes 4 weeks. My main concern is that last year, we had to wait through a 5 week break to play finals, and it really did feel way too long and tw sorta forgot about it. We don't need a break for halloween I'm assuming? PH doesn't go trick or treating til 5 pm.

oct 3: 3

oct 10: 4

oct 31: 7 TWLB regular season ends (halloween)

nov 7: game 8 TWLD and TWLJ

nov 14: game 9 TWLD and TWLJ Regular Season ends

nov 22: playoffs: round 1 TWLD and TWLJ

nov 29: playoffs: quarterfinals TWLB Begins

dec 5: playoffs: semi finals

dec 12: playoffs: finals

dec 19: may be too close to x-mas, people away from comps

not really, the overall league would take longer than it would with what vati is proposing but the other two leagues wouldn't have their thumbs up their asses waiting on the boring warbirds to finish slapping cocks with each other

I seriously don't understand this whole BYE week thing.

What are you exactly proposing... that every team will have 2 teams they don't play in TWLD?

How does that make any sense? All that does is favor schedules and who you have to play against, rather than who had a better rec by playing everyone.

Like... certain teams will have a fucking horrible schedule playing only the top 5 squads, while some shitty team like warpath might have a schedule playing only paladen and deadly divas type squads. Would you really wanna see warpath in the playoffs over a top 5 squad, simply due to scheduling? I don't.

ok i'm dumb as fuck, got a lot on my plate today so i'm not thinking like i should

obviously the leagues with FEWER squads, not more, would need the bye weeks (and no, everyone would still play everyone so there would be no strength of schedule issue)

say, from week 3-6, the schedule looks something like this:

dice vs. penetrate
pandora vs. freebie
sk8 vs. trauma+
bye: sage, sweet

pandora vs. sweet
dice vs. sage
penetrate vs. sk8
bye: trauma+, freebie

penetrate vs. sweet
trauma+ vs. sage
freebie vs. dice
bye: sk8, pandora

sk8 vs. sweet
sage vs. freebie
trauma+ vs. pandora
bye: penetrate, dice

thus your week 7 schedule would be:

sage vs. sweet
trauma+ vs. freebie
sk8 vs. pandora
penetrate vs. dice

which would give you a week 8, so that makes up for one week that would otherwise be lost while the bigger league(s) finish up, the other is up to you to figure out what to do with

just my opinion as far as not making anyone sit on their hands for too long
