I personally think there should be a set Ave R that allows you to make TWL (as there was when pH ran it, I think). I see Pene is #6 in TWJD, because they're playing against terrible opponents (951 Ave R) and refusing to play the better squads so they can 'secure' a TWLJ spot. They're going to suck in LJ (no offense Pene), and how is it fair to those who play any squad that challenges?

Good call on not changing the reso for LD. Looking forward to seeing Creature go - in TWLD and TWLJ (again).

noone cares if its a significant advantage, a 0.2% advantage to someone with a bigger res is still unfair as an advantage is an advantage none the less, it should be equal playing fields.

maybe we should set the resolution limit to 1024x768? that would be interesting, even though 1280x1024 is pretty much the "perfect" resolution for warbirds as you have enough time to react to changes and to dodge incoming bullets, while still making the bad players (non-experienced, people that don't even watch the radar) vulnerable against rushers. any resolution lower than 1280x1024 gives a huge disadvantage to the player, as you have significantly less time to react and dodge, however a higher resolution does not give a huge (way less of an advantage with 1680x1050 against 1280x1024 than 1280x1024 against 1024x768) advantage, but the advantage is still there. :fear:

1280x1024 vs 1024x768 => huge advantage over 1024x768
1680x1050+ vs 1280x1024 => not as big of an advantage
1680x1050+ vs 1024x768 => winner winner chicken dinner

either way, i believe TWLD should be limited at 1280x1024/1440x900 rather than 1920x1200. but allow spectators use 1920x1200 (or even unlimited!) so they can watch the game and enjoy. :P

That's because they play with multiple lineups. Maybe squads should be penalized for playing with their same few starters in each league (no offense sweet)

becasue twd is supposed to set up for twl. in twl why would you rotate out people for players that arent as good unless you are forced to or you just dominate the other squad enough that your top lines dont need to be in at the same time?

twd is supposed to set up a ranking of squads for twl. you can screw with it a little, but in general thats the way it will play out. if not, then when twl rolls around it will play out like it should. its not a big deal with so few squads. youre currently only going to get a few squads that are favored to rack up a bunch of wins. sometimes youre suprised, but usually things will shake down to what squads show their top lines each weak and who those top lines are.

Ave R is more of a tiebreaker than it is a qualification. Given a situation where two teams are quite close to eachother for a qualification spot, and one has an ave R of 951, while the other has one of 1200. The 1200 team which may have lower pts overall, will get the nod. Hope that helps clarify things. I don't plan to outrightly dq teams based on a low ave R, but it will be held against you if you are in a close situation for qualification.

I play a higher resolution after the res cap change in TWD so this nullifies your argument about me not trying it out. I have, and I still maintain all my points.

I'm looking at the ladders, seems like you could have 10 squads in javs just as easily as warbirds, so why not just put 10 in both?

There are more active javelin squads atm than warbird ones, so I don't really see why it would be only 8 for LJ. As for LB, I think you should let any squad in the league that has played more than 25 bd games, even if they are like 5-20, since you could use some fresh blood in this dying division. It would suck if teams like loyalty wouldn't make it to TWL and i don't think these guys are purely interested in messing around in twbd.
