Don't really understand how any of this is relevant. Neither of those guys are going to start for you and if you want to increase squad TWD activity you can always ?go 0 and find people. Look at QS, they DD with bunch of randoms.

Neither Andy Steel or Trouble will be playing in LJ. Neither Andy Steel or Trouble would be a major part of Real's LD or LB lines as we are already settled there. Its relevant based on past and future staff decisions regarding squads that dissolve prior to lock period.
Amusing how Thunders line: Hulk, Cres, River Flared all weigh in with the same opinion. Is that a staff decision Flared? or one influenced by your squaddies.
If thats all thats being put on the table thats fine. Close the thread and move on.

Are you questioning flared's integrity? I could screenshot our chat for you if you would like. Flared is trying to be fair here and he even offered the players a chance to play (which shouldn't even be done because its ridiculous). Just because his decision happened to interfere with your agenda, you accuse him of being bias?1:Rasaq> i scrub really hard with toilet paper so little pieces of it get stuck to my anus hair and then later on when im watching tv i like to pull them out slowly because it feels pretty good
1:Mutalisk> heard that n1111ga okyo got some DSLs
Paradise> No names but there's actually a black man in the arena right now.
Jones> MAAAAN1111GA UCHIHA
Paradise> NO NAMES. NOT A SINGLE NAME.....but 3/6 of the players on Force are of a certain descent. I will not go any further.

What agenda does it interfere with? Any role that either of those two will play here would be limited. This post is about offering players on a squad that dissolves last minute the option to play TWL. Flared is generally pretty fair - It would be nice to see a consensus decision made by several TWL ops. I don't agree with the suggestion of LJ only when neither player would have an option to play a game there. Something like: TWL Season only (not playoffs) - maximum 3-4 games would make sense for these players and future players especially if other squads/caps feel its "unfair".
When it comes down to it tho we will accept the final decision and roll with it. If its LJ only/or not at all so be it.

If we're going to bend the rules at all and allow them to play TWL, they should at least be limited to the league that Ancients was participating in.1:Cape> is infrared the thing that microwave does?

For what it's worth,
In a complete vacuum, this exception that Reaver speaks of is 100% viable and probably deserving. It is quite unfair that in a game with a dying population, that two relatively active players get barred from participating in the zone's marquee event. However certain factors make Flared's decision the most practicable:
1. Real's agenda: Let's be real here, at 0-3, trouble may not win you guys TWLB single handedly but with a lack luster performance against Heist from your spiders, it seems to me (and I'm pretty sure to everyone else in the zone) that you are looking to get an edge where you can. But this is all fine because most exceptions are invoked at the benefit of the invoking party anyways.
2. The time lapsed between this petition (of sorts) and the accepted Soft/Hard Lock surpasses more than a reasonable period of time to bring such notice.
3. The players themselves concede (or at least we can infer that they conceded) the fact that they might not play TWL this season. Ancients had 2 weeks, if I am correct, in which they did not show enough for a single LJ game. I am pretty certain it was apparent after week 1 that TWL might not be a possibility for the people on Ancients' roster. Which leads me to my last point.
4. The amount of NOTICE that was given about Soft/Hard Lock trumps any weight the other side of this argument might have. I don't know who Andy Steel is, but given that trouble knows full well how Soft/Hard Lock works considering he has played TWL before, it is safe to assume that he was ready to not play TWL this season.
But if this is really about the interest of these players, I think you should go ahead and let them play. Just understand that you are setting a precedent for other players to take advantage of this exception as well.
Pnus.

the reason an official decision hasn't been made is because i haven't yet consulted with the other twl ops. their opinions mean just as much as mine. i know it's not fair to have the decision come from just one person's opinion.
the point i'm trying to make is this... i agree it's unfair that these players could end up missing so much of the season due to their squad dropping out, but i also think it's unfair to give them the extra opportunity to participate in the leagues that they would not have been participating in had their squad not dropped out. the way i see it is that by allowing them to participate in twld and twlb we would essentially be rewarding them for being on a drop-out squad. my opinion is that they should be given back what they lost, but not more.Gun remembers.

Would like 2 say that "vitja" juss came back from his long vacation and wasn't aware of his squad being dead as well. I would like to petition that if Real gets these 2 players, Thunder should be able to add player "vitja" to TWL roster. ty4dis. xoxox

Just let them play, it doesn't matter anyway. I'm not sure who Andy Steel is, but I know trouble. He was likely only in Ancients because he enjoyed playing with the guys they had. From the time trouble was in Thunder, he seemed to enjoy basing...so for him to join up with Ancients despite them not making LB speaks volumes about his loyalty. In my mind, that should be rewarded. It shouldn't matter if he stayed inactive on the roster after Ancients dissolved right before the soft lock. Via was in Ancients...and he's playing now. Why should trouble or Andy be any different? It's not exactly a tough issue to be discussing.
On another note...REMOVE HARD LOCK. TY
EDIT: Okay, I see why Andy is different since he joined a different squad...but trouble should absolutely be allowed to play.Phiz> I probably am gay
Phiz> I just haven't realized it yet

When it comes down to it a fair official decision is all that's to be expected. Having the process confirmed and decided on by several TWL ops is the way to go.
To Flared's credit I believe he is trying to be impartial.
I am not interested in changing TWL outcomes or getting an extra edge via this (thats why I would suggest no playoff time). These guys were recruited for TWD activity primarily. As there cap I would like to give them the best possibility to play in TWL and have fun. That said they don't have big expectations here and are pretty aware that they may get no TWL time.
