Annnd this is why you need old disgruntled asshole players to run TWL, its the whole new generation who want to be the parents who are friends with the kids syndrome. You can't make a decision that pleases both parties in cases like this, there is one wrong and one right way to handle the appeal. Saying welll were going to warn X squad but the appeal is still denied makes you seem like kinda a pussy. Thats what was great about PH, he would set the appeal, and tell the people who were mad about the decision to fuck off, and eventually people stopped whining about his decisions, and after himself/squad caps had that kind of understanding this sort of faggotry appeal stuff just didn't happen anymore. Don't play both sides reck, just tell people what your decision is and literally tell the people who are butthurt over it to fuck off. You will get more respect and TWL itself will run smoother because of it.

Please get rid of this newb and the other useless hosts that did not bother using 5 minutes of their time and actually reading TWL rules at the start of this season.

Reckful should of followed the rules and the game should of been forfeited. But it wasn't. And I really don't think a player from dudgeon should be allowed to appeal on behalf of Raid so that Dudgeon is able to make the playoffs. It isn't Dudgeon's fish to fry and if Raid doesn't want to hand them a playoff spot, then that's Raid's prerogative.Vehicle> ?help Will the division's be decided as well today?

Viewers on TV call in golf infractions on the PGA and get players disqualified for breaking the rules -- people call in tips to police when they witness a crime -- since when do you need to be the victim to point out something illegal has happened?
That's the stupidest fucking argument I've ever heard. Dudgeon is 100% entitled to appeal, and if evaluating the appeal on the grounds of it's merit vis-a-vis the stated rules, should have been granted.
Is it a stupid rule? Yes. Is it kinda lame Dudgeon is trying to use this to sneak into playoffs w/o actually winning their games? Absolutely. Should we ignore the rule and let the winning team prevail and do what's right, not what what some archaic regulation says? Yes.
But trying to justify it with poor arguments like "Dudgeon shouldn't be allowed to appeal" or "the Op made a mistake so somehow, magically, the game is valid according to the rules" is weak sauce.

Again, I had/have 0 say in this though for obv reasons.
I'm 99% sure you would grant this appeal/have different opinion about it if this wasn't ur own squad. I have no idea why u keep bringing up this "replay-option" because its prolly the most unlogical solution if we look at this rule-wise. Sure cobra deserved the win and all that bs, but they won not following the rules. Rules state that it shoulda been 15-0 for raid. RULES. Again I think this decision was made using common-sense/fear of humid or w/e but why? All season long decisions are made basing the solutions on rules. Hell, I've tried to suggest improvement ideas at the beginning of the season; All I got for answer "Can't change it, the rules bro".
I FEEL PHYSICALLY ILL THAT YOU DONT FOLLOW RULES IN CLEAR CASE LIKE THIS WHEN YOU'VE BEEN USING "It's the rules - cant change" -card ALL SEASON LONG.
If this decision on the appeal is final all I have to say is enjoy your shit league.Season 12 champion TWLD / TWLJ
Season 18 champion TWLJ / TWLB
Season 19 champion TWLB (C)
Season 6 champion TWDT-J TWDT-B (C)

Alright.
I shall start off by apologizing on the behalf of my squad because we did not start our TWLB match against Raid with a full team of eight. We wholly deserve the warning for breaking this simple rule as we only fielded six players in the beginning of the match. I shall present the little information I have gathered thus far from various sources (including these two threads, players spectating the game and members of staff) in my spare time along with my personal opinion(s) on the matter and rules. If you see any errors, feel free to correct me as I may have been misinformed by someone.
I will start from the very beginning with something that is supported by the logs and was also witnessed by a lot of people in the arena. As we were adding our lineup we were mislead by our host who stated it was alright for us to start the match with only six players. We proceeded to follow his instructions and started the match 6vs8, which is something that is, in my opinion, not even against the rules. Due to the host interpreting the rules in a different way, or simply not having any knowledge of them, it immediately made the appeal enter a gray zone with no crystal clear answer. Nonetheless, eight minutes into the game I was contacted on Steam to show up and save the day as we were losing the match by four minutes and seemed to be struggling against the underdog squad Raid -- which was to be expected when playing with only six players. If our squad had been forced to add 7 players or more, I would have been there on time most definitely. We won the match shortly after adding a full lineup.
Code:3.05a Warnings & Forfeits II) A squad is allowed to play 5 vs. 4 (TWLD and TWLJ) or 8 vs. 7 (TWLB), but if a squad is unable to provide the minimum number of players for a game, the match will be forfeited. If it happens again in the same league division, the squad will be terminated from that league division.
I will gladly accept a rematch, although the result would probably be a brutal defeat for Raid as we would be able to field our full lineup. If you truly think you belong to the playoffs, win your two final matches and hope a miracle happens. You lost to Spastic which ultimately screwed up your chances big time.

I believe the rule was probably meant to be interpret in a slightly different way, but if that is the case then why aren't the bots coded to automatically forfeit a match when there's less than 7 players playing for one of the squads when the match starts. It's an easy change to code.
Either way, the rules should be rewritten to prevent shit like this from happening.
