Dissolving squads?

Why are you guys dissolving old squads on TWD? How can you seriously dissolve Mambo? A squad that has been on that site for like a DECADE.
Like really? So what if they aren't active. All those players on that roster are icons to this game and so was that squad.
I seriously hope you idiots don't dissolve -F- , dice, penetrate, pandora, etc
Just because they aren't active doesn't mean they should be removed after being on that website and having those players squadded on that roster for years.
I know this isn't the place for this thread but it's the only topic you players will see this.

Yea thats pretty dumb.. For relatively newer ppl like me it's fun to see who was on those old squads and see who just stayed before they retired. Why are you guys erasing history

yeah not really sure what the point of that is. literally makes 0 difference if squads remain untouched. stop doing useless shit already and focus on what actually needs to be done (twl site, donation money, launching on steam, water u waring, etc.).

...but u could look at it a different way. Maybe those players who haven't played this game in years will now come on the game and rage- then we can tell them "we waiting for game to be put on steam" then they'll stay to see the outcome.

or maybe they will finally join another squad (now that there 10 year of 'being on one squad' streak is over) and play twd 24/7.

I hope someone kept track of the squads that were dissolved this week.

The general consensus has been that it is fine to dissolve squads as long as certain criterias are met, such as the squad having close to no members and no captains. However, squads with long history should be exempt of these kind of purges as they are legacy squads of sorts. It doesn't require much knowledge and common sense to figure out which squads hold a special standing in TWD.

I dissolved them because they did NOT have a squadcaptain.
I did a message to the owners first, but no response after x days.
So thats why i dissolved it.
Was just trying to clean up a bit ...

That squad played before your time and you should've seen how long that squad was on that website for before you did anything
It's a slap in the face for those players getting their precious home squad dissolved like that
Fizzy, subby, predator were all some of the finest basers this game has seen. And now I won't be able to see their names rostered anymore because you decided to dissolve them.
You legit erased history and an iconic squad of this game.
So fucking stupid. It's stupid decisions like this that piss me off and make me question staff. There's so many other things you can fucking focus on to make TWD better and this game better.

All this game has is memories. Now we even have idiots deleting the history this game holds.

there were 5 names on mambo rostered, none of em was a captain.
If you want to see preds name on a roster, check vikings roster...

Just my personal opinion but maybe there is a way we can preserve legacy squads in a way that benefits both objectives. For example, have like a "Hall of Fame" or a "Legends" page on the TWD site honoring those squads; then for the purposes of keeping TWD organized and run efficiently, we can decommission the squads that are truly inactive from our actual "accounting", if that makes any sense. Just a thought.
