i'd like to see 1 op for every league, maybe that means something like guano for base, epi for javs and disq for birds.

i don't really care about the individuals doing the job, anything that they do wrong should be corrected by public opinion. i, however, do have a problem with all the twl ops being concentrated both in 1 league and 1 squad.

for argument's sake, if epi is sposed to keep javs and birds and un-spastic represented, why has he taken a step back from coordinator?

I'm just here for the rules, setup and appeals dude. That's the most important part. The day to day running can be done by anyone who's capable and Cpt can do that. I have way too much going on IRL to dedicate my time to SS.

Okay, i've just spent about a half hour reading through all of this and i've come to 1 conclusion... you're all arguing about nothing... Cpt.Guano! hasn't announced very many specifics.. why don't we hold the rants until then?

Here are some suggestions i'd like to make to the league Ops

1. Only use playoff squads from last year for returning squads (i know this was already posted from Cpt.Guano! but i just think it's a great idea... returning crappy-but-stable squads just wont be fun to watch and wont increase the overall quality of TWL).

2. Only make 10 squads in a league and have 9 weeks of regular season. This way, every squad faces every other squad exactly once.

3. Stop worrying about "unstable" squads. I'm fairly sure in the jav/wb leagues you will have the following 10 squads make it the all the way through leagues and perhaps even past the playoffs:

1. Melee
2. Cripples
3. Disoblige
4. -Final-
5. Pallies
6. Pirates (sorry if some of you think we wont make it to the end, but we will )
7. Shinobi
8. Ancients
9. Sk8
10. Syndicate

And then there are a bunch of squads which i personally consider question marks for making it all the way to the end of the playoffs but all 5 look, to me, like they have a good chance:[list=1][*]Aura[*]Dynasty[*]Value[*]Treachery[*]Provoke[/list=1]I'd just like to end this unneccesarily-long post with an un-neccessarily-long request for staff:

Now that you have made Pure_Luck an smod (Congratulations, Pure_Luck), you have removed the ONLY mod who answers ?help/?cheater calls. Yes, i know Weaver is hiring people who have "nice attitudes", but they dont know how to answer any ?help calls that extend beyond the knowledge of RoboHelp (this is not an exagguration, this has been seen proven time and time again). PLEASE get some people in there to do the job Pure_Luck did and do it as well as he did it... and please, don't just hire them based on their attitude, please find out if they can actually do the job. I'd rather have someone who has a somewhat bad attitude but knows how to do the job, than have someone who has a pleasent newbie attitude who i've never heard of and cant do the job at all. Many of these people just sit and do their smiley faces at you.

awesome i agree with u but then i disagree with u, shinobi is never a garentee, -f- as good as they can be play about 1 game a month and lost jack now, Dynasty seems to be alive and more healthy then both shin and -f-..ya they have the skill level and will make it more competative, but dynasty can go inactive at any time for any reason and -f- already seemed to give up... and regardless of who u give a free pass to or not u'll still have 1-4 squads who have a shitty season and wont be competative just bc ther are them few squads who just dont lose, not enuff talent to go around

Jack left us? -shrugs- Since when has losing Jack ever been a major blow to any squad? Yes hes a great player, but I dont think any of us counted on him to be here for the long haul. A lot of -Final- is inactive now, but Im quite certain its because there is no reason for us to practice in TW at this time. Our players have proved time and again that we can leave for months (or years) at a time and still own as soon as we come back. Wait until TWD actually starts, or more importantly TWL, then we will see who has given up

well prove me wrong then i hope -f- does make it to TWL and do very well so it dont ruine its name...but TWD scores reset next weekend i think and unless u all pull a mericle and pop outa no where and play multiple games a day to keep up w/ the more active squads it will be hard for u to even make it into TWL..and TWLB will be even harder then LJ/LD

I disagree completely with you. League isn't a place where only the best play the best with the exclusion of everyone else. If you get to that level of elitism, then eventually it will stagnate. People will get bored cause they play the same people over and over. People who aren't in the top squads will find less reason to care or watch games because why care if you aren't in league?

League is for everyone, and for many people to have fun in. The reason why I set it at 16 squads last season was because it did quite seem that TWL could only really support that many stable squads, which could stick around to make league intersting while still letting the maximal amount of people play. Yes a lot of squads dropped out, but even at 10 you will have dropouts. Even in Pro League with 10 squads dropouts are not uncommon at all. General apathy is what kills leagues, and is what has killed the elitism that is Pro League.

When there's a league that more people can be part of, more people will care, and more people will watch and more people will try harder. That's why league is it's current size.

Yeah agreed Epi ... TWL is about good competition ... it is also about letting anyone take part in it. Let the squads come and go and change around. This isn't any super-professional gaming league or anything .... it's a bunch of teams trying to get some organized games goin.

as i said b4 u need the stable squads to keep the league in tact regardless of how competative they are, having 10 competative squads and 5-6 outa them u dont know if htey can last a season that wont be a good league...16 squads 2-3 horrid squads that will last isnt that bad bc even them horrid squads can pull upsets
