I agree w/ Fruit, Pallies and diso both wont do that good in TWLB unless they start to practice. Grant they have alot of time till TWL comes, and if they start practicing a little they will do very good like the past seasons, but the way it stands now squads like mambo and spastic and maybe even RB if they get there best on will do better in basing then diso/pallies simply bc they are practicing every day in TWBD as a team.

First of all I was talking about how everyone is ranking Spastic like 4th or 5th in TWLB every time. I don't give a fuck about TWLD or TWLJ and I don't think very many of my squadmates do, either.

I would look forward to playing your squad in TWLB, but I realize your squad probably won't even make it into TWLB so I guess it doesn't matter.

Im not going to predict who will win TWL since anything can happen before the season starts. But this season in TWLD it will be va close 3 way race which is far better then only having two.

Out of both leagues I think TWLJ will be the tightest and most competitive because of a good mix of player pool between those 6 squads. Its going to be a very interesting season.

I agree with Pure_Luck's accessment for twlb.

But mostly I just want to add that I think basing requires a lot more skill, teamwork, and most importantly strategy with feints, fronts, assassination attempts on terr, pyschological warfare, splitting enemy team, conservation of energy, wasting shark reps, repping enemy mines in enemy cram, lining versus cramming, pushing, syncronization, fire frequency, etc., blah. twlj and twld only require skills, teamwork, and some strategy but simple strategy like teaming and picking off enemy one by one. But I do agree they require a bit more skill in shot accuracy, but that is it for most part, and even basing requires more skill in this aspect some times, like being spider and hitting and killing 6 enemies in a matter of a few seconds, although it usually close combat situations. So if you are talking about star teams in twl, basing should be weighted more because it takes a lot more to base well.

Also because of the variety of ships needed for basing, it is extremely hard for a basing team to do well in lj and ld because any good basing squad only needs 3 wbs and 3 javs if they use them, and having 35 being set as limit on roster really limits how many good wbs and javs you can have without deflating your teams potential in basing. Just my two cents.

The thing is that good squads in TWL-D or TWL-J , if these squads really wanted to, could own 99% (if not 100%) of the basers who dedicate themselves to just base and rely on luck, timing, and teamwork. Yes, a good relationship with your teammates and solid teamwork accomplishes many things in TWL-B, but just as Light showed in the first TWL-B season, veteran players are more likely to win the league, simply because they possess more experience in the game and better accuracy when it comes down to taking out the trash.

It's not that "L33T" people want to stomp the basing newbies because they base and tell them things such as this, but it is because it's the truth, and you have to deal with it, until, of course, you become a veteran.

This isn't exactly true, as their are plenty of J/D squads that don't do so hot in basing. The several iterations of shriek come to mind, Onix, sk8, early melee, last season rampage went digging for talent in their specialty ships... Light winning season 5 was an upset, not an inevitability, and relied at least as much on luck and, frankly, lag as it did on individual player skill. There were several matches during the season that they could've lost, and one or two they probably _should_ have lost, so it's incorrect to assume they were as dominant as their record would suggest. I'm not saying Light got lucky, they played very well, but it's not like any amazing dueling squad can simply pull a twlb championship. TWL6 showed that, with rampage and elusive getting eliminated before the finals. Your version of the "truth" doesn't really hold water...
