And what does this have to do with anything?

Let me rephrase. "It's better to excel in one league than to be average in 2 or 3 leagues." And I really like your logic there at the end. I guess that means that your reply to this thread is the 59th most retarded.

I would look forward to playing your squad in TWLB, but I realize your squad probably won't even make it into TWLB so I guess it doesn't matter.

BY THE WAY:*you're Yes, it's a pet peeve of mine when people don't use "you're" correctly.
My squad doesn't try in twlb because it's boring as can be.
Why doesn't your squad try in twlj?

And my logic is pretty fullproof. Most would agree that Disoblige is the best basing team of all time, Light in it's first season never lost a twlb match so both are clearly top teams.

Yet it will most likly be the cloest of all 3 twl and is slowly become the most popular.

          EDIT: i decided to elaborate.

Basing is far to 1 dimmensional now. With the cram all your supposed to do is sit in a small box area and fire a lot without any real sense of aim but more of a "spray them and hope we get lucky" technique. The sharks job is also particularily easy as all he has to do is either A) watch a jav (which won't happen in twl because teams are to pussy to use them - with few exceptions) or B) wait till the other shark dies and move infront rep 3 times and explode, then repeat. The only part of a cram that i would consider hard is the terrier, which is the ship i have the most respect for because it is legitly hard to fly as well as to drop others where you need them while staying alive.

The only fun part of basing is the fr battle because it's more like organised chaos - you know what your supposed to do but it's far more open so far more things can happen and go wrong.

So yes the entrance is why basing sucks (note: it's not the cram as entering in the pre-cram days was boring (lining that is)

I'd like to see a map with the flag a little more protected, some more walls to hide behind but a lot more open to get into.

As for Javs, it requires a lot more skill - you often will have to know what a teammate is thinking or planning of doing and follow him up with it, it's a bigger base and there isn't 1 set strategy to follow like craming is for basing.

I play for the challenge, not the redudancy of basing.

javs does take a lot of skill

Baking takes a lot of skill too... is it fun? not to me.

Do you even play organised base games at all? Looks like you are just rehashing most of the bullshit everyone else is. I can tell this is true, because you belittle the sharks role as being easy in cram, and praise the terr as being the hardest ship in cram. Actually, when you are cramming, all the terrier really does is fly back and forth and drop bursts down. Sure there are a few good terriers that do pretty ballsy and cool shit with their bursts, but in a good cram, the terrier pretty much sits there and looks pretty. There is no such thing as dropping your teammates in good spots when you are cramming. During the flagroom battles and midbase fights is where the terriers real skill comes out.

While I'm sure javs does take a fair amount of skill and idea of what the other players are thinking, I think you would be surprised at how good base squads do this too. For example, me and jr5 sharking together. I'm amazed at how this guy will cover any mistakes I make, and how he almost always does what I am thinking in my head that I want him to do. It works the other way, too. I can almost always predict what my teammates are going to do in any given situation. I guess this just comes with time after playing with these guys so much in the past while.

Anyways, who gives a fuck about this stupid "MY LEAGUE IS BETTER THAN YOURS!!" comments. I like to play twbd, and nothing else. When I joined my first TWD squad, FMM, I had a lot of fun in warbird duels. But I eventually found that I like to play base games more than anything else.

I don't know about you guys, but flying spaceships is cool. I sort of feel like a quasi astronaut, and who didn't want to be an astronaut when they were a kid? :]

I've been playing organised basing matches since before you started cont. The shark is an easy ship to fly, get over it. I learned how to shark while on pallies in a few weeks. (part of that is the beez was there to help, but mostly all you need to be a good shark is a good team, exceptional sharks to exist but to be good you don't need a lot of work) As for sharking pairings again it isn't hard to figure out what your partner is going to do as most sharks paring will know exactly what each will do because they'll disucss it earlier to avoid double reppings and the like. You can like twlb, heck it used to be my favourite league, but don't go all braging about how your squad is so amazing when it only won the league once, while under odd conditions, while you weren't even on it. Base can be fun, fr battles are fun - it's just javs is fun for me all the time.

                      • Basing is not going to improve or become fun if you just whine and say it's boring ... words w/o actions means nothing. If you WANT to make basing more fun and more skill-based, then DO something about it. We don't need ur empty whines ... go play whatever you want then, but stay away from basing.

Everything you do is only as fun as you make it to be ... if you're not willing to put anything into basing ... you're not gonna get anything out of it. So if you want base to be fun and improve ... then start designing a map or asking ops to tweak ship settings or play around with the rules. Posting about it w/o doin anything wastes my time and yours.

                          • U would have to say that WF and Cripples of the old days could be near the top of that list to, Cripples had the perfect season then a 1 loss season rite after, and WF was the one to dethrown them. U put a fresh utopia in terr, w/ hannes/windreaper in shark and the rest of old WF together u goturself a grade A base team even now days. Many of the good basers now came from them squads, M_M, server, jebu, i believe WP was on WF. Those 2 could clearly be listed probably above spastic's 1 season run, which wasnt even a perfect season.
