Wrong. Four spiders will always lose to five. The advantage in having extra spiders isn't linear and it isn't so insignificant as to be defeated by "extra skill".
This limit isnt too put a stick up people's arses. Its to bring the fr fights and excitement back in basing without drastic changes. a 4 spider cram is weaker then a 5 spider cram, generally. You can still have a really strong 4 spider cram. But really, when a team plays with 5 spiders. you hardly have any choise left. Teams that are around the same skill level will always beat a 4 spider team with 5 spiders. So this limit forces squad to play 5 spiders. But there also is a limit on sharks and terrs. I dont see anyone complaining about that. Lets try it out before judging it. Play a couple of game against some squad from wich you know are about the same skillevel and compare the games with earlier games you played against that squad.

This is an absolute joke- this should not carry over to TWLs and it's a shame to be tainting TWDs with this nonsense- spiders!?!? what? One terr, two sharks- these things make sense to me- but making any sort of restrictions on the combat ships is ridiculous- the dynamic of different lineups that teams use is part of the basing charm- what advantage or disadvantage does a five spider lineup bring that warrants restrictions? I am completely baffled by the motivation behind this decision. I think it should be immediately removed as a TWD rule- these guys should be able to play whatever they want to get into TWLs.

nobody complains about levi, shark or terr restrictions, the people complaining are just conservatives afraid to give things a trial run. what's the matter, think you might actually like it?

Besides, every squad has their own way of playing. There should NOT be a rule to benefit some squads on the expense of others (those who have better spiders).

To me ... the conservatives are those who want to restrict our right to choose what ships we want to play rather than change the map. Change the map please. You have your opinions, but don't be telling me what my team can or cannot play (and btw ... I want to be able to play 2 terrs).

That's your opinion. I personally hate playing w/or against javs and wbs (bc to me, a lagging jav/wb is worse than a lagging spid).

Sufficient, there was a vote about the 4 spider max for BWC and it was adopted with a majority vote. remember that when an opinion becomes shared by the majority its consensus(not fact, mind you).

There is the matter of fun. There is also the matter of Leagues (fun + fair competition) ... in terms of leagues ... you are:
1) not necessarily making it fun (your 4 spid max fun is different from my 5 spid fun ... please don't be telling me what is fun to me)
2) you are explicitly trying to get rid of a VALID strategy of TWLB ... one that break NO rules.
What I DO agree is that we need more ship diversity ... that means:
1) not restricting ship limits ... either keeping the ship limits the same as before ... or making ship limits even less stringent.
2) changing the map ... it seems like you recognize the flaws of the current map (roof is not used, certain areas of base are not used, 1 entrance) ... and choose the choice of a 4 spid limit, rather than the non-biased way of changing the base. You also seem to recognize the need for something fresh in basing ... yet you still do not want a change in the map.
All that said ... yeah ... go ahead and try the 4 spid max ... not like I'm FORCING you to play a certain way.
