I agree with your main list. I also agree with my 6* rating in the video.

My opinion on these players:

Stayon - 10 -> 9.5 (has fallen from his peak, maybe even 9* but I'd rather do that as 2x 0.5 changes)
Jamal - 10 (there's nobody clearly 0.5 better than jamal imo)
Henry Saari 8 -> 8.5 (8* for king lobstir is too good value)
Zeebu - 8 -> 7.5 (same as rozay)
rozay - 7.5 (no change)


Edit:
Not sure about increasing Frozen Throne but not increasing Brethal. I feel like Brethal is better than Frozen Throne. I'd leave them both alone because they were not obviously broken.

Spooked is a better terr than Apt. Apt should be rated based on spider 8.5* because nobody is gonna pick him to terr.

Fair points on all of these. I wouldn't move Jamal from a 10 tbh. too risky.
Also looking back, Frozen can be a 9 and not be broken so I wouldn't change him.

If we were to limit how many people could be 10* and 9.5 in a ship, this would indirectly bring ratings down for everyone. This could be done as the top 10 players in the zone right now, and rate the rest after that. We tweak this every season like usual so we don't have inflated ratings. In order for someone to move up, someone else needs to move down.

So let's say we have 5 10* spiders

sarger
dreamwin

Now we have 5 spiders for 9.5 spots

stayon
renzi
turban
jamal


For sharks, less of them so top 8?

Not sure I'd agree with the take he's "way overrated at 9*", however I do agree he could be adjusted downwards if the overall goal is to reduce the inflation of ratings. I'd put him on par with liz, or just slightly behind.

I should probably be a 6* in base tbh. I've played like 3 bds in my life. I don't even know the basic unwritten rules of what's going on for the most part. It was never explained to me when I was new, and since I don't play it, I never learned. Imo that is what a 6* is for the most part, right?

Also consider the fact that most caps are close minded and never try anything other than spiders > sharks > terrier. It's barely fun. The only reason other lines aren't considered is because the best teams use the status quo and everyone follows suite to no avail. I'm of the personal opinion if you have the right player in the right special ship, you could get some interesting shifts in dynamics. But naw, rate everyone and have stupid caps force the status quo .

This feels like a troll post but incase it's not...

More bullets = more pressure.

1 terr and 2 sharks are capped by the matchbot,

weasel/levi are 100% pub ships and are not allowed, these 2 are ships really only make the game more annoying than add anything to the game.

lancaster is the one pub ship that is allowed and I love this ship but spiders just beat it

javelin got nerfed, no longer has rocket, most likely due to the fact when a rocketing Jav gets repped, it spikes all over the place, without rocket this ship is easily managed by any shark pair with half a brain.

warbird, in the right hands can be deadly, in the wrong hands this seriously handicapps your team by using it. Pretty much unless it's ease you're hurting your team by using it.

Smart players will adapt to other teams using specials, 5 spiders just ends up being the best thing to use it has nothing to do with "best teams" setting the pace. I have seen 5 warbirds, 5 javelins, 5 lancasters. It has been tested. 1v1 some of these ships are better, but 5v5 spiders win by such a large margin due to the sheer amount of bullets they produce it's not even close.

To put this in perspective, back in the day I was on Brainwave, shitty but fun basing squad. We were against, either -FINAL- or Dice, I forget which, but they used 5 warbirds. With our shithole squad we lost the game at around 15-13 . The previous game they used 5 spiders, we didn't even get a minute on the clock.

We resolved this 20 years ago when teams with special ships consistently lost to spiders.
