I guess his point is that low star captains are not expected to perform and carry their teams, as opposed to higher rated captains, and tend to have way more options to choose from as they don't have to juggle with star limits as much. Draft tournament is designed with middle-tier players in mind.

Many competitive leagues (outside of spaceships) have a system that distributes talent relatively evenly: whether its 10*, 8.5* or 6* (let's say).

I disagree with the notion that "draft tournament is designed for middle-tier players", or exclusively for 7/8* players. I acknowledge that's not what you said. TWDT is certainly is a *more* inclusive league imo.

TWL does not distribute talent as evenly as TWDT does, on a team by team basis (through rosters 1-10). That includes the 9 & 10* players.

here were some players who were hailing Best as an amazing player who should be rated even higher, but I can not see him carrying this team should those claims be were even remotely close to being true. He is also one of those players who needs to be active to actually perform at a high level, but now he has returned to his normal state of inactivity and not caring about the game
