I didn't shit on anyone or at least didn't mean to. Lee's performance was without a doubt impressive but so was many others' who wasn't even nominated. I was surprised at the results and felt like I should throw in my opinion and more data to work with as these are open for comments.

In my honest opinion anyone who wins 1vs5 while down -6 kills, should automatically get the overachiever award, regardless of star count.

I missed this live but got to see it on dwopp's recording, was a lot of fun to watch. Easily one of the more impressive things I've seen since I started playing again. Star count shouldn't really matter in this. When turban popped off last season for 30 kills, that shouldn't be discounted because he's a 10*. Even the best players in this game can still shock and "overachieve"

I agree. I feel we are already making the league more inclusive with the star rating system, but then we are added more rewards for lower starred players.
I've popped off a few times this season in jav as a 9* and I'm sitting top 3 over 6 games...would that mean I've over achieved or the 9.5* 10* have underachieved or I've been underated?

Lock You're right that rec alone shouldn't play into who is nominated/wins the overachiever award, especially for base. I didn't see the game though and I have a feeling the majority of voters haven't either. Ogron's on my TWDT team and makes charts for me so I'm not going to waste my time watching old games.

8.5 stars is the closest to average amount of stars per player in dtd (42/5). I think having over 30 kills in 2 matches and a near 3-1 ratio is much better than is expected, good nominees.

After watching the recording of gene's match, after being stuck 1v5 with 2 deaths left, guy went 8-1 for the victory. How does this guy not even get nominated? The way he kept his cool taking his time with smart shots AND managing to be patient enough to chase Jessup around for 10 years at the end.

Honestly Jessup was hiding behind her teammates on 9 literally lobbing way too often- it was so cringe to watch

(this is the same pathetic strategy she employs in elim - even shot one off like a elim entry shot on the left side aiming at nothing probably forgot she's not in elim I guess LOL)...

the same strategy she's always used... she'a devoid of evolution - and this is precisely why I was saying spending time fighting instead of running is important

Just amazing to see someone with such little concept of team strategy and self awareness continue to play victim when called out and blame everyone else for their horrendous play style and low game iq

PS: Not trying to detract from hypo's W that was sick af... but it was optimal odds for his benefit that he realized she was not going to really push (you can see her lobbing useless/unaimed/sprayNpray bullets) even while being on 6, lobbing behind her teammates who were all on 9 so he played the patient smart game getting them out first.. impeccable gameplay, patience, and execution from his part and extremely poor and expected selfish under-developed gameplay from jessup.

That being said he probably did earn at least a vote option for community even though he was nominated last week.. I appreciate RaClaw trying to keep it even and highlight other players achievements across the board but 1v5 is a huge feat that is rarely achieved (at least from the noob amount of time I've been here)
