the illuminatus trilogy is probably the funniest thing ive ever read... a bit extreme at times.... but hilarious.

uhh armour by john steakley was weird... ender's game was alright

fountaidhead by ayn rand was incredible so was atlas shrugged for that matter both by ayn rand.... if you can set through 2500 pages i suggest you read both of them

Yes, they were both AWESOME. It's cool how she can make them interesting with very little real action (though when roark bombs his building that was werird)

Yes, this 18th century idea is quite new. It's also as convoluted as Chrisitianity.

Anything by Douglas Adams. Anything by Terry Pratchett. Early (and maybe the Dark Tower series, but only cause I have to know what happens) Stephen King.

Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad is a must, gotta love the whole "Man is evil" theme.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms is in the works of being read. There are so many versions out there... if there are any big RotK readers, could you please suggest to me what translation is best?

http://www.threekingdoms.com/ has the C.H. Brewitt-Taylor translation available for reading online, but the site also recommends the Moss Roberts translation because it comes with better notes. I started reading the Brewitt-Taylor version myself, but I switched a third of the way in to the online version because it uses the Pinyin naming system, with which I was more familiar.
