I wasn't going to just roll over due to auto-votes immediately, I had a D1 mandatory action I had to take and have done so. The 3 pms were my own doing because I wanted to spread info around and continue the game sleuthing chances for town. The people pmed did not learn my identity or role. They just know who my day action was on and how it will affect the narrative. I learn the identity of this person I had to take this action on after this day phase.

How does telling these 3 people, whom you do not know their alignment (unless you are scum), who you are targeting and learning the identity of, help town at all if you end up lynched? They will not learn what you would have learned if you were not lynched. They do not get any information out of it. They just know that you targeted someone, and that you were lynched and flipped town. What does that do for anyone? Sorry, but no one trusts your judgment in these games. You are really bad.

Also, this being very clearly stated in the writeup from the post makes me very skeptical that Jessup has some role flavor that requires it to be told via PM or something like that, and have that role be a town role. If anything, this support from Field has made me believe Jessup's claim hints even less.
