It's probably universal that McDonalds is the 'meeting spot' for the neds. Bought nice 'fred perry' clothes last week in scotland and after some chavscum.co.uk - research i guess i cant wear it anymore... unless ya wna be a wigger of course.
This is quite OT, but can any brit tell me why you have a seperate warm-water and cold-water tap? In the 4 years i've been in England noone has been able to give me a satisfactory answer.

edit: ok maybe i didnt clarify this enough, i'm not particularly familiar with plumbing terminology, so i'll try to describe what i mean. In the UK you have a hot water tap from which only boiling hot water comes out of, and a cold water tap for only freezing cold water. If you desire a water temperature between these two extremes you have to fill up the sink with the two extremes and create your own mix. In most of the rest of the developed world there is 1 tap with two knobs for hot and cold temperatures (or some other system) where u can adjust the water to already come out of the tap at the desired temperature.
Never knew that, and it's probably no reason at all, people are just used to that here. It's useful though when you want to fill up a tub double-speed
