The Dillinger Escape plan blows.
Rise Against is a great band, should check that out if you havent. My 2 cents for a good indie band is The Lawrence Arms, especially the song "Nebraska".The song doesn't make your hands clap,
The hand claps make the song

I like Muse, but some people find them too overplayed etc
I like Feeder's old stuff (Polythene, Yesterday came too soon and even Echo Park), new stuff is shite
Get a few flogging molly songs, they are a mix of irish folk and punk, pretty cool and original. (Devil's Dancefloor, Black Friday Rule and Salty Dog are all cool songs)USS Banana after years of superior jav play has amassed 17999 kills, he is 1 kill away from 18k, Type ?go Javs FOR A GAME OF HUNT (no scorereset) -Kim
---A few minutes later---

Originally posted by Exoticzeusyboy, get anything from the 2 My Chemical Romance cd's. It's not heavy metal, it's something different, i went to their concert a month ago and i had this ringing in my ear ever since  . i think you'll like it.Like, there was this ninja who got
ticked off at some people who kept
talking while he was trying to rock
out on his guitar, so the ninja totally
flipped out and sang at them till
they all exploded!!! (true story.)

Originally posted by ZeUs!!I've been listening to a lot of "cool" records that the nme has told me to listen to recently, bands such as The Strokes, The Stills, The Von Bondies (which is pretty fucking cool, cheers conc) and Razorlight. While they're all kinda good and worth a purchase, has anyone got any recommendations of anything heavier? NOT metal like megadeath or screamy shouty shite. Just something thats heavy with a tune, like QOTSA and the Foo's but obviously someone I haven't heard of yet. Extra coolness points awarded for bands no one else knows about
Edit: The word is Dust by The Screaming Trees is good
