You're roleclaiming cop? With no real reason to? Who did you investigate N1? I'm a little torn by this...

Doctor please protect either exalt or I tonight, I investigated exalt last night and he came back innocent; so unless he is God father I think he is safe, hopefully. So doctor please protect me or him tonight.

My logic is simple I vote who I think is best, and day one halp was poor and shady, and specially the fact that some people on this game know eachother irl. Panda literally said he or she is going to sit back and be spectator and is amused. I think Paul is a cultists imo, its baffling you want to hear my reasons for my simple logic; yet you do the unthinkable so I just think you are trying to force my role out in the open so you can recruit or kill me lol

The game originally had 12 people so I assume there's four scum. One is dead, leaving three out of the eight players left. I know I am town, I believe for the time being that Exalt and Voth are town. That leaves us 5 players, 3 of which are scum. I think part of the reason there's no much discussion outside of the 4 of us is because the players that are left are statistically likely to be scum.
I'm not even sure why I bothered to type that, except I guess to say that I'm about 85 percent convinced that Panda Express is scum at this point.

I'd be fine starting with backwards too, I don't particularly care about the order. But I think it was Exalt who voted Panda early, and 2 votes puts more pressure than 1, so that's why I started where I did. I'd love to hear more from backwards too, especially with his flattering hardon for me this entire game.Originally posted by Voth View Post
Fair enough, then. Without any information of substance, I don't have much else to work from than hunches (and I've made it clear Backwards is top of my list with that). Interestingly enough, I think Backwards remains the only person still with a vote on Paul, who I've been saying since D1 has been the recipient of weird random lynch trains. Paul could easily be scum, but I don't see anything to support that yet, and this is the second time a lynch train on him tried to gain steam.
Let's see how it shakes out.

I will say that if Beast flips scum, it adds a ton of weight to the idea that Vehicle is scum too.
Panda doesn't offer any information, but her voting record and everything else is very bad. They may be the easy scum to catch and the others are letting her hang for it, since there's nothing there to defend.
Backwards is backwards. Same as Beast. I have no idea with them without forcing a claim.Fair enough, then. Fair question, the answer is probably different for everyone. I actually voted for Panda d1 almost coast to coast, so I'm with you there. My push in this early part is get enough votes on Panda for them to have to choose between participating or dying. If he/she participates and the story holds up, I move to Beast/Backwards/Sailor/whoever else I'm missing, lather, rinse repeat. If Panda does not participate, he/she dies today, and I continue moving on down my lurker list tomorrow, assuming we don't get another smoking gun or something concrete. That's how it works for me in a perfect world. I'm open to moving off of Panda, but not until he/she earns that.

What are we pushing for here in the early part of this day phase though, Paul?
Are we looking to lynch Panda or force them to roleclaim? Because the heat Panda already has only ends in one of two ways, generally. I think it's 4 or 5 votes with no counter-wagon, and I haven't even dropped my vote yet.

1. I didn't see her hint at self-protection, though I did think she was the doctor for sure after the D1 situation with her and Halp.Originally posted by Exalt View Post
Yes, but reasons to think otherwise:
1. Jessup was hinting that she was going to protect herself last night. It's unlikely, but possible she could have done it as doctor. Jessup would be the type to possibly protect herself over others in yesterday's situation.
2. Generally speaking, Jessup is easier to fool in a do or die situation than you are. All things considered, that's worth killing you first and hoping Jessup makes a mistake.
3. Your role is potentially far more powerful than a doctor. A doc can possibly save someone, but scum can recover even if they do. If you get a positive match on scum like N1 with LF, they're fucked.
4. All signs really did point to Jessup being the doctor. I definitely believed it. She played it off very well, along with Halp basically saying it out loud.
2. "Generally speaking" hurt me deep there, man. Real talk.
3. Absolutely agreed. I just figured they might have figured the most-likely-to-occur scenario and figured the probability would work in their favor.
4. Same.

I actually had this same exact thought run through my head. The way I followed the bread crumbs was the thought that if we had a nurse, we clearly have a doctor somewhere. That being said, my role being fully claimed and known to everyone to be fairly dangerous for the scum team may likely elicit the protection of the Doctor, especially after LF flipped scum as a result of my night action. Jessup was barely half-claimed as anything other than a townie with some power of some sort, so perhaps they thought it best to run the opposite to what most would do. Kill the unknown PR, block the known PR, and deal with what shakes out from that the next night.
The more I think about it, if my theory rings true, that's a fairly smart and/or experienced scum team way to play it. The obvious play was to kill me. Instead, they take me out of the equation N2 and kill Jessup hoping she is the Doc they are looking for.

This point is largely irrelevant at this point, but I read Vehicle's post as accusing me of voting for Panda Express because he/she can be considered a soft target, and I could theoretically skate by another phase based on Sailor's potential inability to defend themself. This shit got all convoluted in the end, but I read it as Vehicle accusing the_paul of only voting for Panda Express because Panda is a soft target, prolonging my life. Doesn't matter anymore, I think everyone is more or less on the same page as far as what we're trying to accomplish in this early part of the dayphase.Originally posted by Voth View Post
Maybe a miscommunication or I really just don't understand, but I was asking Vehicle why he thought he was an easy target for a lynch today. We have all sort of been quoting eachother and responding mid-dialogue in real time, so maybe I'm just an idiot.

Fair enough Veh, this turned into a sideshow that I never intended. I just threw it out as food for thought for people to keep in mind as the game progresses. Maybe it becomes relevant later on, maybe it doesn't, but I wouldn't be able to throw it out there if I was dead. Maybe I'm just even more paranoid this game than usual, but that's all it ever was.
I figured I should address this instead of skating past it. I did say that, and I did roll the dice last night. I don't have some awesome game breaking role that I'm waiting to unleash, but it could end up being crucial based on what others do. I want to save it in case we get a bullshit claim from one of the less experienced lurkers that I need to CC, so I'm not going to say specifically. But there is a reason I've always intended on full claiming because it could be to town's detriment if I don't, and there's also a reason why I seem intent on knowing who Voth targeted. Honestly between these things and the hints I've dropped, it wouldn't surprise me if someone like Exalt or Voth has already guessed at my role.Originally posted by Vehicle View PostVoth Backwards lurks every game so I don't think it's scummy behavior when he does it, just par for the course. He also jumped on LF pretty quickly early in Day 2. I get that he hammered Halp with his added vote but I don't think he's scum. I could totally be wrong, I don't have concrete proof, but I don't think he's the best target today.
the_paul You said you 'took your chances' or something like that last night. What were your results?
