what the fuck.. that was too fucking far Bioture never did shit, he certainly hasn't done enough things to stick out in my mind to warrant a ban, stick that ban hammer back in your pants.

He got banned for violating the no warez rules multiple times, and I've warned him both ingame and on the forums several times previous to this. Just because he doesn't stick out to you doesn't make him any less culpable, and if we're doing it right it shouldn't be around long enough for you to catch.

For me, it's not the actual combat that's scary, because anyone with basic skill at FPSes can handle most (note I said MOST ) fights fairly easily. No, what sets this game apart from the rest is the atmosphere. The scary stuff is not that big ugly thing that you can see running up to claw your face off, because at least you know you can shoot it and it'll go down like anything else. It's the cornered, let-me-out feel to it. It's the stuff that you see that hints at bigger things to come. It's the stuff that you hear, and I won't give anything away as to WHAT you hear. I totally forgot that there was no music in the game until several levels in because sound is so important. So while it doesn't make you jump when you hear something almost totally unexpected (and I don't mean large crashing sounds), it does send a chill through you.

And I wish the guy would learn to tape the freaking flashlight to the barrel of his gun But even that doesn't detract from the game much. And if you want you can justify it by saying he needs the free hand to reload

Ahh.. Pentium 4 2.6 Ghz, Geforce 4 something, and only 256 RAM, need more RAM to play Doom III..

You can actually play with 256MB RAM, I did. Set it on minimum everything though, you have a GeForce 4 :/

Ah, I see it now. But honestly though, I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out. I don't see how you can fault forum staff for doing that too, especially when you're trying to contrast it to what Bioture posted which was much more blatent and obvious. After all, you seemed to have missed the other similar situations involving Bioture that wadi mentioned; that happens. You should know too that just because they miss one violation, it doesn't mean that they should ignore one they did find.

Wait, who's cutting who up now? If I recall, the last time we spoke, over a month ago, was when I helped you figure out how to grow shrooms. I can't even remember a time we talked ingame or otherwise before that. I don't know why you think I have some sort of vendetta against you, nor can I figure out how you can justify saying something like this when I see you online so infrequently. In any case, if this is still about Bioture's ban, it stands.

Back on topic:

I dunno why so many people complain about the flashlight. The whole point is to add the whole "Oh shit I can't see, OH shit I can't shoot now that I can see!" to the freakyness of the game.

Oh, and hell's awesome. That part were you get beserk and fight the 3 Hell Knights? Fuckin' great.
