His points aren't valid. What's valid about him saying they are making headway in Iraq. When security has never been more lax. Car bombing everyday, 130 billion spent on it and no end seems to be coming. seriously fucking wake up.

I think that was an attemp to make an analogy with "Pax romana" as an elucubration about "the fall of the american empire".

The word pax means "peace", not "fall of". The Pax Romana is therefore the time when the Roman Empire was at it's largest, 27 BC - 180 AD.

I am pro-Bush partially because I am Republican, I am from Texas, and taht Kerry can't keep a constant opinion on anything. I am entitled to my opinion no matter how stupid you think it is. If you are trying to make people "see the light" that is certainly no way to change someone's opinion.

I watched the whole thing - i don't think either of them won. What would be fantastic is having more than 2 canididates to vote for. Because at this point, in my eyes, I'm just choosing who I think will fuck up less.

Kerry really countered this nicely too if you ask me, something like:

IF someone from your hometown is in that shit, you don't vote for who's the better singer you vote for that person who's from your area cause you want to see someone you know be a big star. YOu're pro bush because you're from the same state and a republican, not because he's smart (which he's not), not because he has good ideas (lets open up wildlife reserves to look for oil!), and sure as fuck not smart about economy( I don't care what you say pv, you don't have tax cuts during a war, and in ten years you'll be feeling and 'paying' the price of the shitty ideas he's done with the economy, fuck he even fired his economical advisor who said "this is a quick fix and we'll be worse off in the near future")

However, I don't think this debate really swayed anyone's opinion, Bush supporters think Bush won, Kerry supporters think Kerry won.

This wasn't about swaying opinions of Bush supporters or Kerry supporters, this was about swaying the undecided votes that determine elections.
