Man, I thought those debates were already hilarious, the election is even better! Wow, you guys suck at holding elections, maybe you'd consider getting a democracy yourselves first before trying to install them in other countries. I really wonder, how hard can it be to get a third party to handle the elections? How hard can it be to have one solid system that keeps tracks of where your citizens live so you can actually know where and how many people will vote somewhere so you can install a good amount of voting-spots, when people have to wait 6 hours they simply won't vote. Also something that help this waiting line problem is to get those Roman votingsystems out of there and install some proper votingsystems, for fuck sakes you're supposed to be the leading country in technology, right now half the world is laughing at you because on our TVs we see a votingsystem that looks some early industrial revolution steammachine with large levers you have to pull to be able to vote!
The funniest about this all is how this all is so obviously an advantage for the republicans, who get their most votes from the smaller counties, and I guess in a small county you won't have to way 6 hours to vote unlike you see happening in the (blue) cities.
Oh I haven't even commented yet on how ridicilous the district system (constituencies sp?) is. When there's, let's say 20 electoral voters in a state, milions of people vote, and it ends in a 51/49. Only a moron would then say that the winner should take all.
Ah well, I'm going to look forward to what the republican trias politcas will bring us in the next 4 years. It can only become another 4 bad years for the whole world with a lot more division, which will be a lot more interesting than to see a re-uniting world with a recovering economy! :]

For the record, the republican party in anti abortion EXCEPT in cases of Rape, Incset or when it poses a potential risk to the health of the mother. So they're not tottaly cruel they just want a china where millions of people have kids they can't afford and leave them on the street -- unless they're incset babies, they already have a plan for that.

If you look at Bush's views, incest & rape are the extreme cases where abortion could be valid.



As for me, I think that if a country was truly embracing life, even they wouldn't be a problem. Hunt the rapist down and kill him. Give the mother EVERY bit of support needed. It's not exactly the baby's (fetus? whatever) fault that it was concieved illigitemately, but then its not the mother's fault either. So why look down on them? Why look down on the baby? I say give them all the support they need so the pregnancy does not become a burden.

But since that's in an ideal, life-loving and non-selfish world, I guess that extreme exceptions to rules will always have to be there.
