i heard a track or two off the modest mouse album and it didn't seem to be anything special, am I missing something? Someone direct me to a modest mouse song worth listening to so I can check them out further.
I'm liking my chemical romance, and underoath's newest cd "they're only chasing safety" pretty sure it's from 2004. I was pretty disapointed with "A-types" hopesfall's new album.
btw, ?chat=emoI AM NOT AN ANIMAL

Sparta is from Seattle, and their last album they released in 2001 was good, it had songs like Cut you Ribbon, on it. Also i saw them live twice and one time they were alright, and the other they rocked, so i guess they differ in performances.Originally posted by JeromeMaybe if I lived in a place where bands toured alot I would think sparta is bad, but seeing as I don't, I like them. And their new album is good, don't care!Originally posted by ToneWomen who smoke cigarettes are sexy, not repulsive. It depends on the number smoked. less is better

Hmm if I go by what I've listened to I'd say in no particular order:
Anna Ternheim - Somebody Outside (Swedish singer-songwriter, broke through just some month ago)
Camera Obscura - Underachievers Please Try Harder (Pop group from Scotland)
Kings of Convenience - Quiet is the new loud (Norweigian pop duo)
Iron & Wine - Our Endless Numbered Days (I've met this bearded guy
)
Jens Lekman - When I said I wanted to be your dog (Swedish pop singer)
Ed Harcourt - Strangers (Not as good as his last album, but too good to be left out of a list! Pop music or poetry, you decide)
Faze Action - Broad Souls (Although it might seem like I listen mostly to chamber pop that's not at all the case. Faze Action will get to represent the great genre of trip-hop/jazz-house. Sort of the only album I've got from this year in this genre.)
Guru - Jazzmatazz vol 3: Street Soul (Jazz-Rap, I like.)
The Soundtrack of Our Lives - Origin vol 1 (Swedish rock group, with Jesus-like headsinger in Ebbot Lundberg. If you haven't heard anything by this group you've missed something!)
Franz Ferdinand - s/t

I heard a My Chemical Romance song on the radio once, and I thought it was the best song ever, because I thought it was a parody, since the lyrics were so horrible. Let's see if I can find them.Originally posted by Bob (SRB)i heard a track or two off the modest mouse album and it didn't seem to be anything special, am I missing something? Haha, yeah, it's this one.
I really thought that this song was the best Linkin Park parody of all time, and they were making fun of the fact that Linkin Park contradicts themselves in all of their songs, by switching from "I'm okay" to "I'm not okay". But then it turned out it was a real song, and I'm not sure what to think about it, because if I just imagine it's a parody, it's the best song ever, but if I think about those guys taking themselves seriously, it makes me want to cry to think that they ever got on the radio.Well if you wanted honesty, that's all you had to say.
I never want to let you down or have you go, it's better off this way.
For all the dirty looks, the photographs your boyfriend took,
Remember when you broke your foot from jumping out the second floor?
I'm not okay
I'm not okay
I'm not okay
You wear me out
What will it take to show you that it's not the life it seems?
(I'm not okay)
I told you time and time again you sing the words but don't know what they mean
(I'm not okay)
So be a joke and look, another line without a hook
I held you close as we both shook for the last time take a good hard look!
I'm not okay
I'm not okay
I'm not okay
You wear me out
Forget about the dirty looks
The photographs your boyfriend took
You said you read me like a book, but the pages are all torn and frayed
I'm okay
I'm okay!
I'm okay, now
(I'm okay, now)
But you really need to listen to me
Because I'm telling you the truth
I mean this, I'm okay!
(Trust Me)
I'm not okay
I'm not okay
Well, I'm not okay
I'm not o-fucking-kay
I'm not okay
I'm not okay
(okay)5:gen> man
5:gen> i didn't know shade's child fucked bluednady
