I want to see if anyone can top this.
At work we receive shipping containers from overseas where customs hold them until bond charges are paid for, then we can release them.
I had a driver come in this morning picking up one of these customs bonded boxes, only I didn't know it was bonded until I tried to get rid of it out of our system. By then, the driver had already taken it out of the terminal.
The fine for releasing bonded boxes is $50,000
Beat that.
So i'm wondering if I should declare myself bankrupt now, or just opt for the easy way out and run my car off a bridge or ironically, under a truck. If you never hear from me again, assume the latter.
