Anyone happy? Sad? Pissed? Laughing?

I'm sure there's going to be a wide array of response among those who pay attention to US politics. I think Dean is an excellent choice to chair the DNC for a couple of different reasons.

First of all, he was the Democratic presidential candidate with the most balls and the best chance at reforming the pathetic state of the Democratic Party. Secondly, he is still appealing for those in the party who have no ambition for reform, but only care about the Chair's fundraising potential. Dean has proven himself to be an excellent fundraiser.

And the idiots who dismiss Dean's leadership because of one manipulated soundbyte are just haters anyway. Talk about The Scream all you want, but that only highlights the inability to attack the consistency and value of his message. Even though the Party isn't where I would like it to be, I'm just glad it appears to be heading in the right...or left, I suppose...direction.

But he peaked too early then got in a negative ad war with Gep in Iowa that brought them both down, plus all the other candidates were teaming up on him and the media cast him as a far left antiwar candidate even though he was no such thing, and it also bought all of Lehane's dirt on him

I like him and I think he's a good choice for the job.
