    I drink about 8 glasses of water a day. My diet is pretty much the same every day.

      whole wheat pasta cooked in olive oil with a bunch of vegetables in it
      sushi
      Good advice Bob...are you by chance a Personal Trainer or have you had a background education in nutrition?

      So many people will try and starve themselves rather than eat more smaller meals. The less ya eat the slower your metabolism will react to food, as the body thinks that it is being starved, it will naturally convert whatever food you may have eaten into stored fat, as the body has been tricked into wondering when it will get its next meal.

      The more meals (6) per day, and montitoring your serving sizes, the faster you will either lose weight or just keep it from growing on ya.

      Read the backs of the lables on your food....it may be packaged as one item, but the label may read servings = 4. An easy way to determine a serving size is to make a fist and that is usually the size of 1 serving for that individual. If your fat and have a fat hand...of course your serving size will be larger than say the Hunger Striker "Bobby Sands" The Bobby Sands diet never really caught on.

        Almost forgot my typical daily diet:

        Breakfast:

        kashi cereal with Soy Milk
        a cup of natural apple sauce
        Bag of cut carrots (6 - 10)
        Glass of OJ
        1 pill = 1200mg of Calcium w/400mg Magnesium
        Cup of coffee (unsweetened...black!)

        pre-lunch snack:

        8 0z. bottle of water
        cut celery sticks
        serving size of either almonds or cashews (unsalted)

        Lunch:

        8 Oz. bottle of water
        6 oz. serving of Fancy Albacore Tuna in water plain by itself!
        serving of soy nuts
        protein bar

        Post Lunch snack:

        cut/baby carrots
        almonds or cashews
        8 Oz. bottle of water

        Dinner:

        Salad with
        grilled chicked slices
        feta cheese
        cucumber
        avacado
        grape tomatoes
        vidalia onion
        w/a balsamic-vinagrette dressing
        8 Oz. bottle of water
        1 pill = 1200mg of Calcium w/400mg Magnesium

        Post dinner snack:

        Celery or cucumber or any empty carb veggie
        1 - 20 Oz. quad Shot Soy Latte from Starbucks

            I learnt a lot about nutrition and keeping a balanced diet/losing weight via what you intake in my food tech course, but the annoying thing is that I cant practice it as we don't really have the money to buy a lot of foods to keep it balanced so I just watch what I eat and make sure I get some decent exercise everyday.

                  no "typical" diet here, what i eat depends on how much cash i have.

                  example, day before yday i was pretty much broke, so my diet for the day consisted of:

                  1 sandwich with salami and cheese, 1 battery and some juice. (all i had for 24hours)

                  However yesterday i did have some money and ate the following:

                  Pack of noodles and juice for breakfast.

                  Garlic Steak + Garlic Potatoes with a Beer for dinner.

                  Meatballs a while after that cause i was still hungry from the day before.

                  And i treated myself to a Tupla chocolate bar thing.

                  Oh and i know it doesnt "count" as sustinance but cigarettes every day to some degree.

                      I went the entire first semester of this year eating nothing but pizza, chicken pitas, and chinese food for lunch and dinner (I don't eat breakfast, and actually on MWF I'd sleep through lunch too, my first meal would come at 7:00 p.m. after I finished classes and frisbee practice). This is what happens when you don't have a car, don't cook, are lazy as hell, and don't have a meal plan at college. Still, it was delicious.

                        1 fish oil pill
                        1 calcium + D pill
                        1 diphenhydramine tablet soon
