Hey, bored so 'm posting.

've been renting a ton of movies from Blockbuster each week(4-13 each week) since I work graveyard shift and 've come to realize quite a few movies aren't really good the second time around.

So the question is, what are some of the movies you used to love but now see them as stupid, or after the first time watching it, they aren't worth much anymore.

This will probably sound like sacrilidge, but Tim Burton's Batman is on my list, watched it the other night and it just seemed.... bleh. Ninja Scroll(the movie not the series) was also bleh to me.

Side question. Any recommendations for movies to see at least once? And any recommendations for foriegn(sp?) horror flicks, Abby recommended 'The Eye' but Blockbuster was out of it.

AAAArgh I always forget if i liked movies or not. But I have that problem alot I don't like seeing movies again. Because you know what will happen.

I've had no experience w/ Blockbuster's online service, but I know that they're cheaper than Netflix. Not sure about the selection, but come on. It's Blockbuster.

they're 14.99/month vs 17.99/month. From what I remember from last time I looked in to it (there's some customer rating sites around..), you're better off paying the 2 extra dollar. Netflix has a much easier to navigate site, better searching software by an large, and a better selection of "hard to find" DVDs. They're also, at least in LA here, quicker turning aroud your DVDs.

My experiences by and large, have not been good with blockbuster, either service or selection wise. On the other hand, I've never had a single complaint with Netflix. I'd spring for the 2 extra bucks honestly.

I loved Netflix for while...but then after I went crazy renting all the movies I had wanted to see for the last few years, I had nothing left to rent.

So, then I was more interested in viewing new movies, but the wait list on them was too long, because other customers would added them to their lists first. This wasn't a problem for the first few times, but after a while, it seemed to me that I had to wait a few weeks for about 60% of the new releases I wanted to rent.

I dunno if I would recommend the service, unless you are the kind of person that loves to rent old movies all the time. If you're a "new release only" type, then you're much better off going into your local video store.
