  • Labour Win Uk Election for the hattrick

    look at the purty map

Well i'm glad but i'd rather the seats lost by labour were won by the lib dems than the evil tories... i'm not biased they are evil --- well apart rom Boris Johnston, hes to funny to be truly evil, though i'm not sure he is totaly aware he is even(usedto be) in the conservative party.

I think Labour would have done better if Blair had let Brown become leader instead of looking like he is thinking of becomeing a dictator.

If you click on the link above soon after this post, you will notice the little white island that is northern Ireland. It is white cuase unlike the busy bees over the sea we can't be arsed to count over night and think, pff that can wait till tomorrow i'm going to bed. If you click later you will notice that in northern Ireland there isn't a single tory, labour or lib dem seat. Thats cuase those we have are own parties that are much more funny than them. In fact if you vote a Sinn Fein MP in he won't be allowed into parliament to vote cuase he won't plead allegiance to the queen, in all fairness why should ppl in this day and age swear allegiance to the queen? Ahh who said politics isn't fun, when you have clowns for polititions like we do, if you don't laugh you would cry

Yeah, I was up until the early hours watching the election results. Did you know an independent won a seat? Thankfully BNP won no seats, however I'm disappointed in the zero seats attained by the Greens. I sort of expected Labour to win, because tories suck and nobody wastes a vote on lib dems. I don't know if I'd like Brown as Priminister, sure he's good for the economy but I'm reminded of that 2DTV cartoon, where Blair is this happy family guy and Brown is this grey boring sod. I am amazed however how Prescott wins, I mean......the guy is practically a joke.

Greens came the closest they've ever come to winning a seat, 22% share of the vote in brighton.

Were Lib Dem here in Southport and the MP for them is a hardworking guy. He's been MP for Southport as long as I have been alive I think.

I think there were 2 independant seats, one was a hold from last year and one was gained from Labour.

I live in a tory area, and we stayed Tory.

I was going to vote UKIP, but for reasons which I don't care to explain, I voted English Democrats (?) by accident.

Labour got about 150 more seats than Conservative, but if you look at the votes, they got 36.1% of the votes while the Torys got 33.1%.

UKIP are awful There campaign is based on some ppl irrational fear of europe and foreigners. They are one of the few parties more anally retentive than the DUP over here.

They should bring in proportional representation for the general election, over here we have proportional representation for our council and assembly elections and it gives a much truer picture of the peoples choice rather than first by the post.

Tories winning some seats back in Wales, disgusting.
Lib Dems finally getting power of Cardiff Central, nice.

As for the independent, Peter Law, winning Labour's safest seat in Wales... just shows how badly Labour are falling now.

Your man had a point, if i lived there i would have voted for him. All this pollitically correct bullshit really pisses me off. Who is picked to be a candadate should be based off there skills to represent the people in that area as well as the parties ideas. It should really be a local person who cares about the area. But for labour to only shortlist women too up the number of women MPs is crazy. If women want into pollitics thats great, but they shouldn't get special treatment and handed a safe seat to make nicer statistics.

But thats not really showing how badly labour are falling at all, they just won a third term and are doing alot better than the tories who made promises of lowering taxes by increaseing efficency would have done. Do they live in the clouds? If anything taxes needs to be raised with the money being pumped into NHS and getting rid of University fees.

There seem to be a lot of similarities between the British election results and the Canadian ones. Despite much controversy and a strong voter desire to punish the government at the polls, the ruling party remained in charge, though with reduced strength. Blair's even got his finance wizard ready to push him out the door like Chretien had in Martin.

                            The cabinet has been decided:

                            http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politi...ge/4523651.stm

Surprising to see Blunkett back in after his little scandal, even though he's good MP. I bet most will forgive him.
