You can tell the difference between a weed party and a drinking party.

In the drinkign party, people are being social and up and about, maybe doing something physical and having a good time.

In a weed party everybody is sitting on a couch watching the pretty butterfly and are basically unable to do anything.

One always seemed more fun to me.

Two nights ago me and a friend got high as a kite and decided to go find the most peaceful place in our town. We got completely lost in the woods when it was pitch black. When we came across a fork in the road we stood there for 10 minutes discussing the meaning of life and the "light path" and the "dark path." We eventually ended up in the high tech sector and got pursued by some fatass security guard trying to hard to do his job. Finally we came across a little circular opening right beside this enormous tree we named lonely Bob. We smoked another spliff then spent the next 20 minutes eating a big red pepper and laughing uncontrollably.

moral of the story: If you're really into the deep shit, or possibly want an enhanced experience while listening to/creating music, weed is definitely the way to go.

ps- I live in Canada, It's easily accessible and people are a little more tolerant of it here, so I guess that has a big effect on everything.

I used to partake in greenery quite often years ago, now it's usually only a handful of times a year. I've tried a handful of other drugs, but found them too expensive/scary to continue using.

While school is in session, I drink heavily 2-3 days a week...during the summer, not nearly as often.

I usually alter my consciousness for the sake of socialization and being placed in funny/ridiculous situations.

i would venture to say that this is pretty much untrue in my experience, or at least severely exaggerated. i think one of the worst things about smoking is that it makes you want to sit around and not do anything, but i always try to use it as an activity enhancer as opposed to an activity itself. i mean, maybe if its wednesday at 4:17 pm and theres literally nothing to do ill use it as an activity, but if im at a party, f that.

edit: i realized i never posted in this so here are my thoughts

i drink a few nights a week and vary from toking pretty much every day to taking weeks/months off, depending on my current social situation (its rarely fun to smoke by yourself) and mood (i dont really like smoking when im in a bad mood to begin with, although drinking is another story)

basically the way i look at it is that drugs shouldnt control your ability to have fun, in any fashion. if your friends are all going to do something active and unique, but you want to sit around and get drunk, that sucks. however, on the other hand, i know a lot of people that will forego a party because they have some moral dilemma with drinking or smoking, and theyd rather sit at home by themself than hang out with their friends, and i think that sucks too. same goes for people that go to parties, dont drink or smoke, and scowl all the time and make everyone feel awkward. if you can go to a party and have a good time without drinking or smoking, more power to you, but i dont understand the mindset of people that think drugs are so bad that they should ruin their own night just for the sake of not doing them.

I find that caffeine or a stimulate doesnt change audio perception that much but gets you into music more
