I woke up this morning and found a parcel on my doorstep, about 1 foot long and wide and half a foot deep. I opened it and its a remote controlled car! Kat and Kathryn sent me a remote controlled car for my birthday! In the post! Legends!

If you two end up getting back together, then great, if not then at least you had a good run and still want to remain friends. Abby and I are in the 'just friends' stage right now, but we still truly love each other. However, if we end up as just close friends for the rest of our lives, 'll still consider myself pretty lucky to have her in my life.

So if you still want her in your life, just be like "I'll take her anyway I can get her", because you never know if one day you will end up marrying her, or finding someone that makes you feel even better.

So, last night, my girlfriend broke up with me. Now don't type "Oh nerds have girlfriends?" or "She must have been ugly" cause this is a totally serious thread. Well anyways, I broke up with her. I think it was because I got too nervous around her, so I didn't move fast enough. At first, I was a mess, but after talking to her it's gotten better. I really thought she was the one and I never saw the break up coming. I thought we'd be together forever (or at least until high school ended). But apparantly, I was wrong. She's totally awesome and REALLY HOT (she was homecoming queen) but I guess it didn't work out. I was thinking of what to do next. We both agreed that we shouldn't stop being friends after this. I thought of the possibility that after summer, we might get back together again. Here's where I'm confused. According to some people (such as http://www.retrievealover.com/yourspecialebook.pdf), you should cut off all communication so that the ex develops a longing for you. What would you do? I thought that being friends and continuing talking was a good idea. I was just wondering how to get back with an ex. Do I see other girls or do I give myself a break? How do I deal with it if she starts seeing other guys? I'm so confused.

About your question my awser is simple, don't make plans!!!!! i can't think about someone actually programing is emotional life like "well i stay one month with John, then i get a week with Michael and after that i might get back to Phillip again..." EW!! no that doesn't happen and if it does it's not good. If you actually like her maybe you shouldn't have broke up with her, i mean if you "plan" on having an affair with her again why will you leave her at all!! you must learn to get over your diferences with her and also be able to tell her what you think... breaking up with a girlfirend is not like giving up on the occasional holiday affair, it is serious stuff

To be honest, if you want her back, I would date someone who is good looking, and "bump into" your ex while you are with your new gf.

The reality is, most girls are extremely jealous and self-centered. Chances are, she will try and get you back if she thinks you have moved on, and are happier now than you were with her. Even girls who are smart aren't immune from this very real fact of life. Most girls learn from a very young age to manipulate those around them for attention, and your ex is probably not any different.

The only problem is, this is a recipe to get her back, but trust me...once she feels she has "won" the challenge of getting your attention, she will again drop you just as quickly as she did the first time. Once she feels that she has control over you again, she will again break up with you, because in her mind, she accomplished the goal of regaining your attention and is no longer a challenge.

Long story short...let her go and move on. It may be tempting to get her back, but you will only be causing yourself more emotional pain and anxiety. Be a better friend to yourself and find someone who actually cares about you as much as she does herself.
