I've spent the last 4 years working at a checkout for little pay, get a fucking job

I'd rather not thanks. Its not really feasible for me as I have to do more jobs around the house now my dad fucked off and my mum isnt too capable as she can sometimes barely walk these days.

Find some elderly people in the area or just some busy ppl with no time to cut the lawn.

figure once a week with 10 customers at $30 a lawn...$1200.00 cash. Not all that bad if yer a kid looking for summer wages. If not...Old Navy will hire ya

Whos is going to pay 30 to have there lawn cut...... unless its like a huge lawn.....and that only works out to be like 300$

who the fuck pays a little kid $30 (£17) to cut their lawn badly.. When it takes like 30 mins to do it for free.. if a little punk came knocking on my door asking for $60/hour i know what i'd do

I've work at a cafe/restaurant for the better part of 2005 while going to school. I've saved enough for my tuition already which is something like 4,000 a year. I'm also cleaning busses while going to college over the summer, 10 CAN/hour is not bad for a student.

Kolar: how many years study? I've got 4 years (1/2 way into first one) and my first year cost $4500. next year will probably be more.

just 3 year program but I can get a degree after, means another year or two and the costs for 2nd and 3rd years goes up a lot.

Both my neighbors pay 35 for a guy to cut their lawns. Depending on where you live people can have some pretty good size lawns. Mine takes 2 hours to mow and when it gets up to 100 degrees, $35 looks awful cheap.

I work at a car rental place. Wash the car. Pick customers up. Drop customers off. Driving around in a cadillac is a pretty nice job :grin:

My job started 6 weeks ago and I am hoping that its not just a summer job. I am working in a welding shop and its starting to get hot at work but the pay is decent for a temporary placement.

Before i can get a job i need to get a car, before i get a car i need a liscense, before i get my liscense i need a Permit, Before i can get a permit i need to turn 16, i think i have a wait, i turn 16 in january tho so its all good

Paying someone $20-30 to mow a large lawn makes perfect sense for a person who has an average paying professional career. Last I heard, the median income is $50k-$60k, which equates to about an hour's pay. I'd say that's a hell of a bargain for a busy person with very little free time. I think free time is more important than money, as long as you're comfortable with your lifestyle.

i'm working on grabbing up a retail job at the moment. i think i've landed a job with american eagle doing visual merchandising. i never went through any schooling for fashion or anything, but i've worked at gap and banana republic in the past and have just been working for clothing outlets for so long that i'm actually quite good at it now.
