The Eiffel tower - stairs overrated!

I remember my class trip, 9th grade. We went to different locations in Europe, also some of my friends got chased by a dwarf near the red light district, or so they said.

Anyhow, we went to the the Eiffel tower, and walked the stairs. I was like all excited since I had heard many times, how hard it is to go up the stairs, how many stairs there are, nananan.. So like, I remember actually going up with haste all the way upto the elevator where you go to the top. And I was like, what tha.. was this it?

I think the Eiffel tower's stairs are overrated. Anyone else been to the Eiffel tower? Maybe you have been as dissepointed as me back then? : o

I wasn't allowed to take the stairs when I was there because of some guys who were having that party you have before getting married (polttarit anyone)?. Dissapointing to take some damn elevator.

No, I've been up Blackpool tower though and up the lift, it had a glass bottom, lol.

Theres like 704 steps or something i think, was it during the day? i would guess you would have to go during night to get the full effect , who needs the eiffel tower when you have Blackpool tower lol

I've walked up the stairs, not too bad at all really.

The ones at Covent Garden tube station are a lot worse.

I was there today, the stairs said emergency only and everyone was sheparded into the lift - in fact I've always known it like that. When you got into the station and through the barriers the only option you've got is to go to the lift, are you sure you were meant to go up those stairs? You might be thinking of Moorgate, they've got a spiral staircase down to the Northern Line which is the deepest and spiral staircases always fuck me up in the head

I was there today again; there are 100% very definately no stairs at Covent Garden tube station, I was looking for them

It is Covent Garden.
It says something like "Please be advised to use the lift" but there's nothing stopping you from using the stairs.

On looking at this link, they are the emergency stairs, nothing stopping you from using them though.

It was definitely there though, and I have used those stairs on two seperate occasions.
