Words like truth and fact are only used in paradigm we create with knowledge. There's pride in the work on both sides but I still can't find many simularities. Faith and Knowledge are very different and so are the people who promote both. I don't think you respect me much or anyone on this forum at all but if you need sleep go.

I'm talking about similarities in mindset, not the theories they believe in... Faith and knowledge can't be compared... Faith and beliefs, yes, knowledge and experiences, yes, but not faith and knowledge... Faith is believing through hope, knowledge is the know-how on certain things... The people who respresent the two aren't that different, atleast on the personal level, and not so much the media level of the matter(s)...

I respect you in a sense, but I'm the type where someone has to earn my resepct before I accept them... Though I'm sure you couldn't careless about that...

These people don't just sit around and make shit up all day. They actually know what they're talking about.

And when you're sitting at home calling some random scientist stupid because you think you've found this huge hole in $theory, trust me, they've already thought about it and you have no clue what you're talking about.

A theory... And how can there become such order after a big bang, as far as I know, after a explosion there comes disorder. Try blowing up a house for a example, what will there be? Will the Wooden planks be explode in to a nice pile of wooden planks? Whille the ground stones be piled into a nice pile of stone in a paralell with the wooden planks?

A order, like the sun, and all the planets around it comes in a order rotating in a order. Just believing this, that something can come out and start something this big as the world, as the universe. Also from a explosion there comes life, humans, birds and other animals, insects, trees, stones, grass, different of flowers.. And all just clicks, bee knows to go pick on flowers, and at the same time they actually makes it able for the flower to reproduce itself, by spreading its pollen. You know the wonders of nature.. And out of an explosion? Man you need some faith in that. And not only do you need to believe that, you need to believe in the sciencemen, that it is actually true.

Why do you think they continue to research? To try to prove that it isn't just a theory, that I would be a proven fact that this is what happend.

And it ain't just bs, the Christianity, as I said, if you really want to find out, you seek Him, you deny your own conclusions, and actually open you mouth, and, God I want to know, if you are real, please come and change my life, let me get to know you Jesus. If you really mean that, if you really with all of your heart and mind, really want to know if He is real, then you will find Him, but all has it's own time. A time to go to school and time to go home. If you seek Him, everyday, with the faith that you will find out the truth, then you will find out the truth. It is all your choice, do you dare to find out the truth, and deny your own conclusions about what is the truth.

I wouldn't believe in Jesus, if it wasn't true, He he wasn't real, I'm human as you. Why should I be one that would be weak minded? Weak minded for what? Words? As I said before, my choice to follow Him, was mine alone, no-one, I mean no-one can change my view, then except me. No-one never came to me, and forced me to believe.

Anyway, this is my view of science, the big bang. You believe whatever you want to believe about it. But for me (note! for me, I'm talking about me here), it is something wrong, something untrue, something false that missguides people, something that makes me cry, know that people because of this will go to hell.

There was much disorder after the big bang. It took 300 MILLION YEARS* for anything to collect into stars or galaxies. Even then, there are supernovas, causing the said stars to explode and possible create black holes. Thus creating destruction.

If something blows up in an infinite space, and there is no friction, nothing to stop the motion, the explosion keeps expanding. The explosion of the house stops because of gravity and a million other physics reasons that I can't begin to explain to you.

Energy is not being transferred into stopping, so it keeps moving foward. The universe is expanding, and I don't think it can explained in any other reason than what you call scientific "theory".

I realise I sound hypocritical because I talk about Christians takeing a blinkered view and yet I’ve clearly ruled out a religious path for myself.

However I view it from a different perspective. I’m ruling out all religions in there answers for life etc… not necessarily on there moral teachings. Yet most religious ppl who are willing to believe in gods etc, rule out all other religions bar there own true god(s). This seems crazy to me and yet you have devote men from all religions who are willing to die for what they believe and all claiming they’re the ones with the true religion etc…

I don’t know but for me it seems more sensible to rule out all religions rather than all religions but one.

Science is more about understanding how things work than answering these philosophical questions, it is the wrong place to look and why many of these threads turn into a pointless argument.

a) I'm sure you have blind faith in something, for example, big bang theory.
b) When a christian tries to convert you they believe they're doing it for your benefit, to save you from hell. They only want to help.
c) as for 7 days creation refer to my previous post in thread on taking bible word for word, it wasn't written in English, so youcan't take it word for word.

i've not blind faith in science, no. Indeed i used to have more faith in science untill i started a degree in physics and then dropped out disillusioned that it could not answer the questions i sought because ultimately we just don't know. (and i didn't like the heavy ugly [because it didn't come natural to me and would require me to work] mathematics :P)

However in Science it is a THEORY and they are well aware that it could be wrong and needs improved understanding and more bright sparks to get deeper into the questions on how the universe works. They also admit when they make mistakes and are willing to change there thinking in the wake of new discoveries.

b)
I disagree strongly with any religion that tries these conversion techniques. It amounts to brain washing and taking advantage of the vulnerable. I believe we should be free to believe what we want to believe without ppl trying to bully and scare vulnerable and naive ppl into religion with such concepts as heaven and hell. There are many religions out there and for me none holds no real answers and yet i have christians out on street corners proclaiming to save ppl. its obnoxious and rude. They might believe they are saving ppl but in the history of the world these missionaries have done more harm than good and took advantage of other civilisations to convert them into christians.

Extreme religion is a dangerous thing and has led to the death of many men. Perhaps this has been highlighted in the recent terrorist attacks carried out by radical muslims should show you that conversion and what is said in these conversions can be unhealthy and dangerous thing. As I said before it can amount to brainwashing, and in the evangelical church it is to go out and “save” as many others as you can, which I think is an unhealthy thing to be trying to do.

many ppl take the bible as the word of god and absolutely literally. i've pointed out that it has been translated and that means human error in the translation and the fact some things don’t translate and that it was written by men. There answer that these men were guided by god and so it can be take literally. There minds are closed to any other possibility, the blinkers are already in place.

Yeshua, who is Yeshua? What is the subject in this thread? I have no clue actually what the subject really is, but from my point of view, Christianity and some glimts of spidermage's life.

If it is releated to Christianity, who is Yeshua? When I googled Yeshua Ha'mashiach, or just plainly Yeshua. -> Yeshua is the original Hebrew proper name for Jesus of Nazareth The hebrews/israeli people are the choosen ones. It is from that people that the path to salvation came from. It is to them God has promised the land, and the salvation comes from them. Without Yeshua, we who don't belong to the Israeli people, could not come to the Father. Before Yeshua, the people of Israel had to obey the 10 commandments. But as you know and can read, to keep those is impossible. Therefore Yeshua came to to us, through the Israeli people, God's word became flesh, and furfilled the 10 commandments etc, and died for our sins, so that we could have a life, so that we could come to the Father, as Jesus/Yeshua said, "No-on comes to the Father except through me... I'm the truth, the way and the life".

Pressure drop, it is your choice to live your life how you please, believe in what you believe, but there is still people out there who needs to hear the gospel of Yeshua/Jesus. Those you open their eyes and open their ears to listen. Those who hear that God is calling them. Yeah, it sounds crazy, I think its crazy too. But I know what is the truth, because the truth have become real in my life. You can call it brainwashing or whatever you want, but this is something I've choosen for myself, to follow Yeshua. No-one has ever tried to force me into anything.

However I really fail to see why you use his Hebrew name as if it adds any more weight to it. I’ve heard evangelical Christians do that before and it comes across arrogant and stupid. The fact is most Christians read the bible in a non-hebrew language, why start using certain Hebrew bits to try and sound more right than them? Do you believe you will you go to hell if you call him Jesus? I think we both know the answer is no. Do you read the Hebrew bible? I can’t answer that and I don’t really care , the fact is the widely accepted name is Jesus.

It is my right to live my life as I please, and yet I’ve evangelical Christians calling at my home in the off chance to put a conversion in there book. Is it not also my right to live my life in peace rather than being occasionally harassed by religious ppl at my home and on the street. I most certainly don’t go around their houses with my reasons for not believing and any written religion.
