Final Fantasy 7 Remake for PS3 closer than ever?

I wish story lines were just books, then I would have to play these stupid games to have to go through them.

If Ocarina of Time was a book, I gaurantee that it would a best seller.

I've been thinking about playing FFVIII/FFIX through again lately, seeing as I can't really remember them too well. But everytime I put in a disk, I play for about 10 mins and really can't be arsed when I think about the battles and leveling up I had to do (as it doesn't matter how much you level up in FFVIII it was much drawing magic that puts me off). I just want to play them for the story

What about, Wakka? The guy's hair was ridiculous and the yellow overall/shorts combo sure didn't help. Lulu's probably cheating on him anyway, seems like she uses him for stability more than anything else.

I would love to see a FF7 remake for the PS3...I really enjoyed playing FF7, but not much more than I enjoyed playing the other ones.

Lets face it: The best FF game is FF3 (America) or FF6 (Japan). Well, that's my opinion. I love the storyline, I love the side quests, the graphics were...well, they were graphics for a Super Nintendo game. I love how each character had a story. Kefka was pretty gay, but the music...Wow. Hehe, for a bunch of shitty midi/wav files, the music for FF3/6 was amazing.

Rank: Note, I've only played FF1, FF2/FF4, FF3/FF6, FF7, and FF8.

FF3/FF6 - Great stories, great music, great battle system (Espers rocked)
FF1 - Classic, Great storyline, Great introduction to battles
FF8 - Good story, Decent characters, Did not like GF/Draw System, Junctioning sucked
FF7 - Decent story, Too dark for FF, Did not like the materia system
FF2/FF4 - Bleh story, Loved the dark knight to paladin transition, Did not like the Role battle system

I was totally surprised when I found out about this, I was like... wtf FF on XBox?!

I played XI on PS2 and was not too happy with it, some parts were fun but waiting 30 minutes or more to form a party just to have the White Mage "suddenly have to go" was a real fun killer, that and people I knew on XI were assholes and bitches.

I hear that FFXII (12) is gonna use the same system as FFXI (11) with you only controling your main character and the other party members go off of AI. They will also come and go with time ... like having to go home or whatever, beats me how it'll play into the game.

It'll be a large persistant world that you can go around with as you wish and follow the storyline how you will. So it'll be like ... a Massively Single Player RPG?

Just read most of that and it sounds awesome. Don't say you're dissapointed until you've played the game, FFXI's battle system is done wonderfully. I can't wait to try it out, it's great to see them adding so many parts of FFXI into the game. Joy Joy joy fun joy joy it's like a single player version of FFXI with some add-ons.

You really must suck. Trying to degrade a great MMORPG just because of a single session that wasnt to your liking because of some jackasses you had met. FFXI is a great game. Yeah, you have to wait for a party and join up with friends to level up, its part of the game. From lv10-75 is partying. Just cause at one point the WHM left really early doesnt mean you need to say the game sucks. You suck for quitting the game so early just of one bad time. Mithra THF? Are you fuckin kidding me? Mithras make the best THFs in the game because of their HUGE DEX. DEX is the basis of Sneak Attack and Trick Attack damage, along with their HUGE evasion.

Dameon, how does the game suck? Each nation has its own in-depth storyline to it's past history which eventually leads into the history of Vanadiel through Zilart Missions and Chains of Promathia missions. Theres also massive quests, Ballista (PvP), BCNM (Burning Circle Notorious Monster, its basically boss battles for major treasure), God Battles (Kirin, Byakko, Genbu, etc), Artifact Armor, and so much more. The battle system is AMAZING. You have the ability to link different weapon skills such as Combo and Fast Blade to create Skillchain: Distortion for major damage, and ontop of that perform a Magic Burst to increase your spell damage. You probably didnt play it long enough to enjoy the great parts.

I like ffxi but no need to snap on them for not liking the game. Sure they didn't experience the best things but it's their opinion, you can't get angry with them like that for not liking the game.
