that being said - look at all the other stuff on these forums. while not pornography, read the log from "Bad kitty" and tell me a mother would not care about something like that.

perhaps all shadier topics should be movied to a sub-cat of trash talk or useless crap where a mother may be less likely to find these topics?

Agreed. Another thing I'd like to bring up Zues!!, In Jerome's topic 'venting, ignore this' you speak of abusing alcohol quite freely. Alcohol is proven to be more dangerous, and to cause much more problems then marijuana. How can people be so blind and hypocritical I can't understand - but when I see someone drinking their face off, and then bad mouth marijuana, they've got another thing coming.

Edit - Forgot to mention that I smoke with my Dad, Aunt, and Cousin regularly. This is a worldwide forum Zues!!, you can't simply cut out something that is accepted in many places - just because it isn't where you live.

Don't make this personal :P ZeUs!! has the right to adminstrate and even moderate what he finds to be offensive or innapropriate. I think there is a legal risk of posting this type of content if the server is in America.

I was under the impression that buying/selling and possesion of Weed was illegal in the states. Which buying weed over these forums would then make it a third party and liable to legal action if you were to get caught. Maybe I'm wrong.

i would have to say this thread is not up there on the list of threads that most parents would have a problem with. perhaps parents would have a problem if their kids said "yeah i can hook you up dude" but they wouldnt have a problem with their children reading it. cant think of a better example than jeromes, but i know my parents would really wonder why i was reading a thread about 16 year-old girls having anorexia much more so than this thread.

There's a difference between saying what you do and then using the forums for dealing. I let the growing thread slip because I do try and show as much leniancy as possible, as I realise that the guidelines and the rules that have been set for this forum doesn't necesarily meet with the majority of its users, which is the root of the problem we're discussing. However its a free game, furthermore its fairly basic meaning even a 13 year old could install and play it, which means we can't have a forum with 18+ content

We've been arguing the same fact over and over again. You want me to define family friendliness, something which requires you to have an immensely comprehensive list that would take about 10 minutes to sift through before you could see if your post breaks any rules. As has been stated before, the rules are guidelines and it is down to mod disgression. This particular mod decided against having a thread where people deal drugs. You also don't need to use unnesessarily to sounds intelligent, I'm taking a degree too

Zeus, you have no argument.

You have shown you are completely incapable of defining what's wrong with the post. Is it morality? Legality? (It hasn't been shown anywhere that one can't discuss things here that are illegal in some countries -- if it is, you must absolutely define it.) Is content regarding drugs to be only viewed by adults, but not alcohol abuse, anal sex, etc.? Where is your razor to split what is acceptable and what is not? It appears to me that everything you think is acceptable shall be set as acceptable, and everything you believe unacceptable shall be set as unacceptable. You're operating from the position that you don't need logic to define how you enforce the rules, and that is dictatorial and nonsensical, a disservice to all those who use the forums and worse, to thinking individuals everywhere.

You have not proven why I was not justified in posting the thread. I still maintain that you can't, nor ever will be able to. If it's up to "mod disgression [sic]," you should make that extremely clear, and eliminate the ruleset, or add in a rule that anything you personally find unfitting with your definition of what is family-friendly shall be moderated. This is a crucial step in defining a cohesive set of rules, regardless of how oppressive they may be. Again, I urge you to do this so that something along these lines never occurs again.

In response to the accusation that I'm a pseudo-intellectual, I'm not trying to use large words to sound intelligent. I'm trying to have a logical argument, and you don't appear to wish to cooperate. I'm glad that you're taking a degree. Perhaps you should strongly consider taking a class on formal logic, and seeing how weak your extremely subjective arguments are. And since I don't really see anyone else saying so, Zeus did the exact right thing. All it would take is one small chain of bad things, to bring the forum owners/moderators unwanted attention, when you talk about federal employees and illegal substances, period. So back the fuck up off Zeus, he's one of the most easygoing moderators we have on here, and I've seen him let stuff slide, that i know I sure wouldn't have.
