All of that moral crap aside: Would you want little kids reading about drugs on here? I know we joke about banning thix and dim out of these threads and all but really the target auidence is 12-2x year olds... There's other issues like the fact that this board is hosted in the US..

Qan, i'm sorry man but if you wanted this opened again you should have talked with Zeus and Conc in private and if they still said no goto DoCk>. Arguing about the "implied" notions and spirt of each forum rule is fine, you can do that for weeks but it does not change the fact that it is a rule, everyone has to follow it and no one is above it and deciding to argue against it in an enviroment like this probably wasn't a good idea.

Spent a nice half hour on this thread. Since the forum is hosted in the US, and pot is illegal there, I don't think that trading an illegal substance on an online forum is a good idea.

Another thing is a great majority of families believe that pot is bad, and therefore zues had the right to close the thread. Pot really is an illicit substance imo it shouldn't be used by anyone that doesn't have a valid reason for using it. Especially you since your trying to gain some through an online gaming forum. You can say something really smart with your really educated brain, but in the end pot is both bad, and illegal in the eyes of the majority so don't post about it.

Morality aside,
Pot is not a bad substance, I do not use it or plan to but I believe there's a hype about it. Because of that hype there's little scientific evidence to support either side, thus we get scare tatics and bullshit from both camps. The truth is pot effects people differently, some people can use it for medical purposes and others can use it for therapeutic techniques. In moderation it can be a far better recreational substute for other harmful drugs.
For some people it just plainly fucks up their life. I would compare it to alcohol if it weren't illegal. Black marketing it has made it popular, dangerous, cheap and easily excessiable; more so then any legal product.


It is unethical to be looking for it on an online gaming forum, I'll give you that. I think it would be a good idea to leave the moral and ethical implications of using drugs out of this really, weather or not the forum rules were derived from moraility or from something other then religion, they were designed to suit this forum's needs.

I really don't see the point in posting a topic asking about weed on a 2d spaceship game forum. Ontop of that, you argued about why it was closed. Sure there are topics about boobies, cross-dressing, whale hunting and the like, but none of the people have ever (to my knowledge) made such a blatant request for an illegal drug on these forums. It just seems like a ploy to get attention, more than to actually get weed. Not only are these forums made up of alot of kids, but they are also kids that live all over- Ilya is the only person I know off the top of my head that lives in Atlanta. Like Sarien said, you could have gone about this in a much better way, it's just silly to create something like this and then be surprised when it's closed down.


Zeus has done a good job here, so complaining about a topic you should have had the common sense not to make (especially if you're on staff), in public is childish. Whether you're staff or not, if you make a topic that deserves to be closed, it's going to be closed.
