Fancy dress party on weekend, undecided what to go as.

Needs to be something that doesn't take a lot of effort or money

Is a dress party the same thing as a costume party? A dress party would be a party you dress up nicely for over here. Like a suit, or a tuxedo. A costume party is where you go as a pirate or Dick Cheney's box of Viagra.

As in you can dress up in something funny or whatever you like really e.g.

my friend went as a Rasta man, it was an ace costume but a load of effort. He had some sort of brown face paint and put it on his face arms and legs so he looked black. He bought a dreadlock wig and one of them hats and a haiwian shirt and some baggy shorts. It was really convincing specialy in the pub where the fancy dress was and the fact that he is normaly a white ginger man. Most ppl didn't recognise him at all.

I went as a low maintanence "the Bad" out of the Good the bad and the ugly. Which was basicaly a Black shirt i had, Black jeans - a dark poncho and a gun and a black cowboy hat which was a cheap straw hat i sprayed black but it ended up looking like a good cowboy hat I think i got a cigar too? The hat was quite a hit and everyone was putting it on and the cute sheriff (was a women :wub: ) was gonna arrest me.

2 off my friends were going to be "the Good" and the other was up for being "the ugly" but they both pulled out and the good went as a 1920's gangster and the ugly went as an alien. pff


anyway a cowboy isn't very original but it is easy and cheap, + its cool and you get to drink tequila and shoot ppl ++ the poncho was fun and i got to do my mexican impression ... and call myself Juan

My youth had a fancy dress party near towards last christmas, it was christmas themed. I bought a £5 dressing gown off ebay and went as Scrooge. I still use it from time to time.

fancy dress parties can be a good luagh when enough ppl put enough effort in.

Let's hope people put more effort in than me. My ideas are

1. Get a white t-shirt and put "E" big across the front and back - E-Male

2. Put a CD around a bit of string and put it around my neck as well as carrying a lighter around - CD Burner

3. My Favourite - get 2 or ore people to dress entirely in green to make us Gang Green.

In the Last fancy dress party i went me and my friends dressed up as a bunny wabbits all four of us using equal suits was pretty nice ^-^ . In the last Carnival party me and my former bf went up as the typical angel :innocent: devil :devil: duo, was pretty neat.

I was going to do this but I know loads of people that are doing this. it's a shame cos I could just use my sisters clothes (they are chav and made for boys)

i was appaled at the amount of girls that dressed up as angels, fairies and bunnies for halloween.

Sure they look sexy but i want good old traditional witches and the like. Its my understanding that the tradition started as a disguise from the real evil spirits that roam on all hallows eve, even if that is an urban myth i want to see ppl dress scary not sexy on halloween.

Save the angels for other fancy dress parties !!
