7 am, little to do. So I was calculating how much money I wasted each week. Would be interesting to see how much others used compared to me.

Roughly.

Food and drinks everyday, 50 kr.
Sweets and stuff/chocolate a week 120 kr.
(Using money on girls a week 125 kr (non-gf 100 + gf 150/2))
Billiard, bowling, arcade machines etc. 150 kr
Magasines and such 50 kr
(Party without leeching on ppl, 3 sixpacks 195 kr)
(+- vodka 250 kr)
Monthly card for collective transport 390 kr

A whooping total of 670 kr a week!! + 195 kr if I bother going to a party (+250 rare, for the girls), the money for the girls is too variable to count with. + 390 kr a month for the card.

Biggest source of it is the food and stuff i eat everyday.

670 kr * 4 + 390 = 3070 kr a month without the variable costs.

1 USD = 6.7603 kr
1 GBP = 11.649 kr
1 EUR = 8.0215 kr

Pretty much for someone who doesn't work. I would spend a lot more if I worked, gave away a job I got offered for my friend who needed it, 115 kr an hour. Funny to see that 6 hours work would cover a whole week for me.

If you work in high school, for the love of God, save at least half of what you earn. When you get to college you might not want to work (as I've found) and expenses can add up pretty quickly, as if there wasn't enough money being shelled out for housing, tuition and books.

Do you live with your parents or areyou in uni, because six hours of work for anyone wouldn't be enough to cover expenses that extend to normal everyday things like houses/rent/gasmoney etc.

Prolly a bad week because I did my xmas shopping right before xmas.

$320 for apt rent
$135 gas bill that my other roomies still hasn't given me
$168 for the remainder of the citation i got 2 months ago.
$23 for food, though it would be a lot more if i wasn't home
$6.50 for Syriana tonight... it was horrible.

The good news is that I didn't go negative in my account and have about a month to figure out where rent is gonna come from. Biggest sources? Xmas, and rent.

Atm I am leeching from my mom and I can spend from 0 euro's a week up to 1000 euro a week... really depends if I want something or not.

When I get my own place tho, I'll have to start paying more.. but still not alot seeing as that I'll be renting out 2 rooms, and the money from there covers most of my monthly exspensives. Also I have an account from my grandpa for my study years of about 15.000 euro's, so I am safe for now.

I actually calculated this out recently. I was doing a project on the rising price of gas in one of my policy classes and it inspired me to take a second to calculate what I spend on gas.

It was something like this...

1/3 of my money went to gas for my car.
1/3 was just spent on whatever I felt like. (mostly movies, candy, gf-related expenses)
1/3 was spent paying down my line of credit. (gifts went onto the line of credit so christmas is accounted for here)

I have no bills or anything. Just a line of credit with some money owing on it.

1/3 of my income worked out to something like $6 Canadian a day. (so total income equals something like $18 a day)

I repeat: This is just from memory.

Everyone who plays a 2D spaceship game and lurks around in the forum is a nerd, even me.

I added the nerd in the title to get people who gets offended by that word to click on the thread, like Liquid Blue and Zeus.

Blanke, I leech on my mom, so I don't really need to think about those things . But I got enough to live on my own, with a fund with 260 000+ kr, and 3000k each month when you live alone, I could live alone for some years without big problems.

And to the ones who wondered why I added the gf part, its because its my third biggest source of money wasting.

Today:
Roughly 180 kr spent on food.
60 kr renting a DVD
40 kr on a DDR machine
15 kr on an icecream

It all depends on the week.. I could easily spend £400 in one week then go the next spending only £20-40.

usually most of it goes on big nights out, usually a big weekend will rinse me of a fortnights worth.
