IIRC, Fahrenheit is based upon the natural human body temps.

1 degree celsius = 1 degree Kelvin, handy in calculations when fahrenheit has to be converted to SI (whereas, at least in first year physics and chem, celsius and Kelvin are virtually interchangeable... because 1 degree C=1 Degree K)

He says that the unit is the same, and only the starting point (zero point) is different.
For instance you use centimeter, wether you put the startingpoint at 0 cm or 30 cm, 1 cm is still 1 cm.
