    • Well someone 3,000 or so years before the destruction of the 12 colonies had to travel to Kobol to put the map to Earth there. I don't think that thing she flew into was a black hole, they mention it as a storm. Besides wouldn't a black hole be the worst thing to park your fleet over and wouldn't any planetary body be crushed by it within hours?

      • Probably.

As far as dead people are concerned, don't forget about Billy, Fisk, Garner, Jammer, Duck, and Socinus.

Jammer or Socinus could have theoretically repaired Starbucks viper on Earth.

But I think the show is going in a different direction than the whole Kara crashed on earth, was knocked out, and had her ship repaired theory.

            • I'm going with either D'anna is a liar, or the last cylon is someone we've never met before. Chances of it being a dead person remain somewhat low in my opinion.

              Dirk Benedict anyone?

Yeah, after seeing the season's first episode again I take back my theory. The chief said Starbucks viper is almost certainly not the same one she originally had and I forgot that her viper actually exploded and didn't disappear.

Well D'anna said she wanted the 4 that were in the fleet and at the time Baltar, Roslin, Adama etc... were on the cylon base ship not with the fleet. I'm not sure why she would choose to hide the fact that one of those people was the 5th, but it's plausible...

Exactly how many episodes do they have left to conclude this because if it's someone we have never met they have precious little time to reveal this person and build something into the character. The creators seemed to have a good idea of where this story was going to end up for quite a while so I also find it doubtful that they would bring back a dead character after they have been gone for an entire season or longer. Also, if it was a dead person they would had to have been resurrected somewhere, supposedly on a resurrection ship which means the cylons would know about them. Unless they came back to life in another manner... perhaps the same way they will explain how Starbuck "came back to life" assuming Starbuck isn't the 5th.

                  • They've always said she isn't a cylon but she is special. They keep making references to one of the Gods of the Colonial religion, Aurora so I think she's not human but not a cylon. There's at least a connection between the two.

I think they have to go with a dead character at this point. 10 or 12 episodes isn't enough time to introduce someone new. Not counting Pegasus and Razor they really haven't have the opportunity to introduce new human characters, or possible in this case neither human/colonial or cylon. I don't think they want to go down that path with so little time left. If Adama, Roslin or Baltar were the last of the 5 D'anna would have outed them on the Basestar. She was looking for a way to get them into the open, out of the fleet and under her control. I also think she would have gone along by whatever they wished regardless if it were Roslin or Adama or even Baltar (being Colonial leaders, she and Baltar share some kind of affinity with each other also). She and the rest of the rebels believe finding them to be an imperative of their existence and that they would lead them.

                    • I don't see why you guys seem to think we need to build a new character into someone just for them to be revealed. You build them by HAVING them be revealed. I kinda hope it's Dirk now.

Heck, it's not hard to say that Dirk is really whoever the president was at the time of attacks (aydar? or something like that) and have them show up. I'm sure the show won't end at the 'he's the last cylon' part but something will happen, and the last will be involved, and three or so episodes later the series ends.

I've heard the final episode is going to be three hours (SWEET) I've also heard to expect anotehr made for tv movie before the janurary startup again.

By Dirk do you mean Starbuck?

I heard it will be 2 hours the series finale. Caprica is also going to premiere this fall they're filming over the summer. I also heard something about multiple BSG tv movies.

                        • I could care less about more tv movies because I've watched Razor twice now and neither time really cared enough about it to pay attention. No reason for them to make 2 more movies after the finale that only add to the backstory.

                          • I just watched the miniseries today, and I can't get over how young everybody looks. Kinda amusing.

Here's a quesitonf or you (and I may have missed it) When Adama goes into his quarters, the last part of the mini series, a folded piece of paper says 'there are only 12 cylon models'. Who wrote that? Who put it there? These were never answered, correct?
