Battlestar has Humans evolving on Cobol and colonizing various systems in that part of the galaxy.
in real life humans evolved in Vega and colonized various systems in this part of the galaxy. Earth is leaving its state of quarantine now to rejoin the other non-Earth humans.

so this is it guys, final run time, so here's the big question. Who is the final cylon? On another forum I go to, there is a vBookie up for who the final cylon is. Here's the bulk of the article
So with BSG returning this Friday, and only a handful of episodes left until the series is done, who do you think is the final Cylon? I've looked all over for proper odds, and they all have odds all over the place, as such I've tried to average them out. Here's my personal theory on each one. vBookie is open until Friday, as though I doubt they'll reveal the final cylon on the first episode, it is possible.
Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace - 7:1
One of the 'likely' choices, and knowing BSG, it never turns out to be the likely choice. She disappeared under mysterious circumstances, returned under mysterious circumstances, and practically has a big “Suspect me as a Cylon” sign stuck on her back. Also, she was the one who found the way to earth, after her strange disappearance. With all that said, as a likely suspect, we may rule her out, as the writers for BSG prefer the unexpected.
Tom Zarek 7:1
Would it get any better than having the Original Apollo be the final cylon? A former criminal turned political leader, Zarek is always in the shades of grey category. He's a by any means necessary guy, which may lean towards being a cylon. However, he also seems an obvious choice, which may push him out of contention.
Lee Adama: 15:1
The conversations he had with his father over how the old man would feel about Lee’s long-dead brother being a Cylon could be a foreshadowing. Plus he fought hard to get Baltar off the hook, and Baltar has been a valuable Cylon ally. Also in favour of that is the times in which Lee has opposed Adama, who is seen as sort of the elder statesman of humanity. Lee also worked to save Baltar, a Cylon ally. Leoben flat out stated that 'Adama is a cylon', after speaking nothing but truth. Though William Adama was implied, all Adamas are thus possible.
Zak Adama: 45:1
In the longshot category for sure. First off, Zak is dead, though that wouldn't have stopped him if he were resurrected by a resurrection ship. Leoben flat out stated that 'Adama is a cylon', after speaking nothing but truth. Though William Adama was implied, all Adamas are thus possible. This would throw Kara Thrace, William and Lee Adama upside down. Could be a great plot twist.
Gaius Baltar: 10:1
We laugh now when we think about kids in the 1950s being told to duck under their desks in the case of a nuclear attack. What an absurd notion. So how equally absurd that Baltar survived the initial Cylon nuclear strike simply by crouching behind Number Six? Also, Lucy Lawless’s Cylon, upon “seeing” the number one Cylon, said, “I’m sorry…I’m so sorry.” Considering some of what they put Baltar through, the apology makes sense. He is a Narcissist, accidental villain, intentional villain, horndog. The man who gave the Armageddon keys to the Cylons. Twice. However, he is humanity at it's very worst, a coward and a traitor, how much would be undercut if he weren't human at all?
Laura Roslin: 5:1
President of the Colonies, moral center of the fleet despite trying to rid an election, and general mother figure. She received a blood transfusion from Hera, the half cylon half human baby, which cured her cancer temporarily. Implied in that is that the cylon blood somehow rebooted her system. Roslin being the final cylon would rock the fleet to it's core, however she also seems a likely cylon, which may rule her out. She was in the opera house, opposite Sharon, for whatever that is worth.
Felix Gaeta 7:1
Former Aide to President Baltar, and current amputee, Gaeta may seems like a far away option at first. However, under further review, he is a member of the Military, which 3 of the new 4 have been. He was also a member of the resistance, with all high ranking resistance members turning out to be cylons. On top of that, he now has a massive axe to grind with Kara Thrace, which may result in some vigilante justice. He had been a peripheral character until season 4, when he suddenly became far more important. Could that be leading to this?
William Adama 30:1
Roslin once said to him, in requesting that he take Baltar’s test, “If you’re a Cylon, I’d like to know,” to which he replied, “If I’m a Cylon, you’re really screwed.” That line would take on a whole new meaning, plus his initial opposition to Roslin and his new determination to lead them away from what Starbuck contends is the true path to earth makes sense. However, he has killed a lot of cylons, and why Sharoon 'Boomer' was programmed to attempt to assassinate him would no longer make sense. Unless that was all a ruse. Not very likely, but possible. Leoben flat out stated that 'Adama is a cylon', after speaking nothing but truth. Though William Adama was implied, all Adamas are thus possible.
Doc Cottle 15:1
He's had access to everyone in the fleet, especially those in sensitive positions. His authority would grant him entrance almost anywhere. And he's been in a position to cover up anyone's medical irregularities. He could keep Roslin alive for however long the cylons wanted, or could kill someone without raising much suspicion, and as such is the perfect cylon to cover tracks. If the Final Cylon is aware he is a cylon, Doc Cottle is the perfect choice. Would be an interesting twist.
Everyone Else 50:1
Some great options here. Romo Lampkin, Karl 'Helo' Agathon, Cally Tyrol, Anastasia 'Dee' Dualla, Ellen Tigh, Helena Cain, Billy Keikeya and Kendra Shaw. Now why might you ask, some of these didn't make it, here's my rationale.
Ellen Tigh, Helena Cain, Billy Keikeya, Kendra Shaw and Cally Tyrol are all dead. Now, Cylons can download and be born again, but only with a resurrection ship. It's possible, but unlikely.
Helo:
He's the very best of humanity, so it would be somewhat backwards for him to be a cylon. It would also defeat Hera as a half cylon half human, as she would be a full cylon, just like the pregnant six is carrying. He's too righteous and noble to be a cylon.
Cally Tyrol:
Same issue as with Helo, except that she's also dead. Her child with the chief would also now be a full cylon, somewhat defeating the purpose. Also, she's without question the single biggest cylon hater in the fleet. If she found out she was the last cylon, she'd probably kill herself...again.
Helena Cain:
Going on the theory that the last cylon knows they're a cylon, it seems unlikely she would torture another cylon, in her former lover in the number six, who also killed her. Cain would do anything to protect her crew, even killing civilians, which could lean her towards a cylon for some, but this is reaching.
Billy Keikeya:
Makes some sense in that he was killed as the presidents aid, only to be replaced by another cylon. He's been dead for 2 or 3 seasons though, and wasn't that important when he was around.
Romo Lampkin:
Very cylon-eqsue in mannerisms, but he's a lawyer and it's basically the same thing. He saved Baltar in the trial of the century, a cylon Ally, however this also seems a stretch.
Kendra Shaw:
Killed uncountable cylons when she sacrificed herself with the nuke on the basestar. However, the ancient hybrid did know her by name and new she seeked forgiveness. Of all the 50:1 character, Kendra may be the best.
Anastasia Dualla:
Except with Dualla around. Dualla is an Adama, through marriage, as she has not finalized any sort of divorce with Lee. Leoben flat out stated that 'Adama is a cylon', after speaking nothing but truth. Though William Adama was implied, all Adamas are thus possible. However she has been a peripheral character since Lee cheated on her with Kara, which makes this unlikely.
Any thoughts? My money is on Doc Cottle, I think he's the perfect example of a fringe character that this would work for. Following that, if it isn't Cottle, or Roslin, it's a dead character. No way it's Helo or William, and I don't think it's Lee. Everybody else is void for other reasons in my mind. The only TWO TIME TWLJ All-Star and TWLB All-Star who never played a game.

I think he said it was Adama in season 1 to screw with Starbuck and Roslin, trying to keep the humans divided and suspicious of each other.
It's either Gaeta or they're gonna go with someone in the other category. Gaeta wasn't in the "Last Supper" picture and RDM said the final cylon wasn't featured there. The only problem is that he was in the fleet when D'Anna said there were only 4 of the final 5 there, when they were at the Hub.
Edit: Gaeta's story after the webisode series "The Face of The Enemy" becomes a little more complex, it turns out Baltar was right about him being played by the Cylons, he contributed to the death of many people while trying to work for the Caprica Resistance. I have a feeling he will in the rest of Season 4 work against the Cylon-Colonial alliance, how that will flow into the overall story will be interesting but it sort of lends support I think against him being the final cylon. So it will probably be a no name, and not a shocker like Admiral Cain. The actress who plays Kendra Shaw said she will not be returning from the dead so she's out.Last edited by Kolar; 01-11-2009, 06:16 AM.
