I was hoping that also. I was looking for some kind of connection between the religious/spiritual stuff with the characters but all of it was way too out there.

Episode 15 really explained a lot: why the Cylon left and ended the first Cylon war, why they began their second war against the 12 colonies, how the final 5 are related to the other 7 (or 8 now, there's a 13th Cylon model the Ones killed) and I'm probably missing more. Good episode but too much information condensed into a single episode. Galactica is also starting to show her age.

        • I think it's been great so far, and showing the age of Gallactica (cut corners, oh noes!) is clearly, in my mind anyways, leading to her demise.

We've got one major battle with Cabal's (Kabal?) forces left, the war to end it all. Looking forward to it.

            Agreed.

-Humans evolve (and supposedly lived with their Gods/The Lords of Kobol) on Kobol.

-They created the original Cylons (The Thirteenth Tribe) which left Kobol 4,000 years before the Fall of the 12 Colonies. That Tribe settles on a planet and calls it Earth.

-2,000 years before the Fall of the 12 Colonies, humans left Kobol due to some disaster (their scripture says a jealous Lord of Kobol caused it desiring more power over all others, implying the monotheistic God the Cylons and Baltar's people worship represents their entity).

-At the same time a nuclear attack destroys Earth, the 5 leave Earth after reinventing resurrection technology seeking out humanity to warn them against developing artificial intelligence again (at sub-light speeds with no jump technology).

-An unknown time later Humans settle on the 12 colonies, Develop Cylons again (thinking machines: The Centurions).

-40 years before the Fall of the 12 Colonies, The Centurions end the First Cylon War when the Final 5 offer to help them develop flesh and blood bodies.

-No one sees or hears from them again until 40 years later when they return to destroy humanity for enslaving them.

I'm not sure if Cavil reprogrammed all other models to forget/never think of the Final 5 or when they were placed on Caprica by Cavil. Probably 40 years before or soon after all models were created.

Starbuck still hasn't been explained, Ellen said something about a swirl or whatever referring to the symbol Starbuck seeing everywhere and drew on Caprica, also implying Cavil knows something about it.

So everyone that lived on earth was a Cylon? Why would Cylons destroy themselves? And why didn't everyone except the 5 download during the Earth nuclear holocaust?

              • Hasn't been explained yet. Everyone on Earth was a Cylon but they procreated like humans so resurrection wasn't required or used, but it was originally created by the Thirteenth Tribe or Kobol humans. The 5 were able to restart it and give the technology to the other 7. Maybe there was a split in their culture which lead to one side wanting to destroy the other. Cavil seemed disillusioned with Ellen and her group promoting monotheism so perhaps something similar happened on Earth. It's a common theme in Scifi anyways.

Monday Night TV can be seen Tuesday on Hulu if you live in America. These 3 shows along with BattleStar Galactica on Fridays are what i watch. 24 contains disinfo and PsyOps programming to try to brainwash the public.

                    • Tone, have you ever watched the X-Files by any chance? I've always found some of your conspiracy theories to hold remarkable similarities with some of the storylines in that show (shadow government + aliens etc.).

                        • So Hera helps Starbuck remember a song she and her father played, the same music which switched the final five on. The piano man I think is Daniel but a virtual type (Number 7). I don't understand why Cavil wants Hera. Unless as a bargaining chip against the rebels and the fleet. Even then he gave up a more important person, Ellen, from Cavil's perspective anyways. He's not interested in biological reproduction which Hera represents (human-cylon or pure cylon). Boomer also nearly destroyed a quarter of Galactica by jumping too close. I'd hate to see what would happen if she jumped from inside. It probably would implode half of it.

I like the title of the next episode called 'Islanded in a Stream of Stars'
                          From BSG Wiki:

In the chapter "Night on the Great Beach" he wrote, "For a moment of night we have a glimpse of ourselves and of our world islanded in its stream of stars— pilgrims of mortality, voyaging between horizons across eternal seas of space and time."

                          • Just finished watching tonight's episode. I've felt that the last two episodes have been kind of slow, so I hope that the buildup is worth it for the final three episodes.

                            Boomer nooo!!!

                            • I agree the past two episodes have been kind of slow. I want Cavil vs. Fleet NOW!!! :P

I'm pretty sure Kara's father is Daniel. Ellen said that he was artistic and all, so the whole piano thing was a dead giveaway me thinks.

                              • I thought this was great. Made Boomer important again, Hera is back in the limelight, as is Starbuck. The final big battle is coming, and I now hope it's held off till near the end, which isn't far off anymore.

I loved the moment where All Along the Watchtower got played again, I didn't see that coming but it was an excellent moment.
