You still seem to be missing to point.
It isn't the fact that a political party called him up and asked for a donation, if they were straight-up about it he wouldn't have made an issue out of it.
They deliberately made up a false award to try and make him feel like he won something, and then tried to get money. THAT is what he thinks is bad.

The point I'm making is, that if it was a political party or leader who he DID like, lets say he was a real fan of Barack Hussein Obama for president, and it was Obama's campaign team who called and used that exact scam. He would have the oppertunity to meet Barack Obama and receive the award but they lured him into it for $500. I'm sure he'd either be willing to do it, or atleast not going to write a post on the forums about it.

That's technically not a scam, and the Democratic campaign organizations do it as well. If it was a scam, you have the right to report them to government authorities and they can be arrested and shut down. If you honest believe that they are running a scam, then you can report them. They don't force you into any money, and they tell you what the results as well if you do give the money. Now they may ploy you into calling them, which is misleading, but its not uncommon. Its also a technique that businessmen use called "Foot in the Door Technique." It's a very effective method (works in business, politics, and even over your family) which basically works by, asking someone for a small request (calling the RNC, hence getting their foot in your door/house) and then making a larger request (asking for money) when you are more vulnerable to take it. Of course it doesn't have a 100% success rate (as we can see) but it truly is an effective salesmen tactic.

What he just said was that he didn't care who called him up, fan or not, he wouldn't have paid anything if they tried to trick/lure him into doing it with the false pretense of having "Won" something.

TRUE STORY!

So I told my roommate this story last night while we were drunk (at like 7 PM Pacific) and we decided that it was "our American duty to call." Well, my friend who is twelve shades of fucked up decides to call the number and say that he's returning Janet Lane's phone number. Despite the fact that it's late on the East Coast (where I'm sure they're centered) the lady on the phone began giving us a speech about how he was a chosen business leader to meet the president. She didn't even ask his fucking name. Anyways, she told my friend that they were requestiing donations of $500 or more! In response, my friend said "Fuck that shit!" and the lady went, "excuse me?" My roomy knew his cover was blown and said, "George Bush eats babies!" Then hung up.

As we were laughing our ass off, the phone rang....It was them calling back.

Now, we're checking outside for snipers, and we have the shades pulled down. If I stop posting all of the sudden, you'll know what happened to me.

edit: My mistake in the story. The lady didn't assume that we won the small business award, my friend told her that, at which point she then went into her speech without asking our name. Sorry, some of the details are a little sketchy, seeing as how at that point in the night I was working on my 6th shot of 151....BTW, I'm super hung over as I post this.
