When somebody has that many bullets, their intentions are clear and it doesn't matter where people are.

The issue is that people should be warned to protect themselves. And be warned or not allowed enter into dangerous area of the campus. Canceling classes and locking the school down would have done just that.

I just got back from class, and my friend had CNN on. Apparently, they thought it was an unrelated event, and they had contacted the police about it.

But still, if there's a shot fired anywhere on campus, it would make sense to cancel classes right?

It's just f'd up. One person can do such damage and create so much death on a campus. Who would have thought that this would have happened at VA Tech?

I do not feel so bad now about campus' such as Temple U. in the North Philly badlands...or even Columbia Univ. in NYC both in crap hoods, but as sick as some are, there is a level of some humanity that one would not expect this.

As much as I do not want to know anything about this killer...I bet there had been clues as to this guys intentions. We will probably get dished the line "He was a quiet Man" from all the neighbors and family that had known the killer.

It's just f'd up...bet this pushes for better campus security as well as monitoring who enters what building at what times of day/nite, passing through a security check...shit they do this at High Schools today...why not a college?

I think this'll pretty much go down as "Oh my fucking God, this guy's a psycho."

Foxnews just reported that this is the deadliest shooting in our nation's history. The previous one was in Texas, where this guy killed 23....This VTech guy has already killed a confirmed 32.

something to do with WoW probably. they should beef up security big time. my high school probably has more security than that whole big college. we got camera's out the ass, 2 guards that have lil vehicles driving around the school and parking lots constantly and all doors are locked, u need to be buzzed in to get in. not b/c of threats or anything, cuz of god damn **** and their gang violence up here. 1 person was driving his car when school was let out and a bunch of hispanics were walking in the middle of the road so he layed on his horn. then about 20 hispanics ran to his car pulled him out and stabbed him in the head. wtf is up with this school violence shit

I cant believe he was able to walk across campus and shoot some more 20 mins later...I would not have stayed at school if I knew what was going on, cant believe they continued classes.

To be fair it's almost unthinkable that someone is going to go Columbine at school. Hell in the past few weeks I believe 3 different football players at my school have discharged their weapons (albeit not on campus, though). Hindsight is 20/20 and of course I nor anyone else know the details of what kind of information the administration had but I'm sure they weren't being callous assholes. They probably just couldn't believe it would be a kill-spree.
