its dumb to say that a lack of poverty didn't kill anyone , starvation kills,... because starvation doesn't kill. heart attacks kill, suffocation kills, the list of things that "actually" kill you is worthless especially if you want to argue at what point exactly one is dead. the best idea is to point the starting condition but then again you could say that 911 killed them when they lost their jobs and became impoverished. its just circular logic to argue symantx on this on

what's wrong with jstor? I like using online databases, they're the fastest way to find articles, which is a great thing for semi-lazy students like me who dislike spending 15 minutes in the university library just to track down an article which you're not even sure of yet if it's going to be of any use..

Because when you find the perfect article you don't have access to the rest of the text, just the abstract, and you have to go out and find it yourself. My uni had a second database called Historical Abstracts (I did History) which contained the abstract AND the article and was much better for my blood pressure

Really depends on what kind of access to JSTOR you have, and what kind of article it is.

So in fact, JSTOR doesn't suck but your university sucks? Most, if not all, online databases require an account before you get access to anything but the abstracts (Springer, Blackwell, Muse etc aswell), I guess I'm lucky my university has an account that offers us students access to a lot of these databases..

And btw, historical abstracts is also just a common online database that requires an account before it allows you to do anything..
