I definitely missed the adventures they would get in at Hogwarts. For the first time reading the series, during the whole sitting-in-a-forest-wondering-what-to-do-for-weeks-on-end I actually got bored and wondered when it would get better. I had to force myself to read more after the 10th time they packed up the tent and moved. Then there was Harry's constant inner monologue about hating Dumbledore for not telling him what to do that never seemed to end. I get why she did it, but why did it have to be so much??
I did really like that the book made Dumbledore more of a human that makes mistakes than a holy god. The Snape back story was interesting too.
Overall, not my favorite book in the series (#1 is Goblet of Fire). I was hoping that Sirius would somehow come back from the dead (seriously he falls through a door and is dead? That's it?!); I also thought Harry would be a horcrux--but I knew somehow he would stay alive; aaaand I liked the cheesy epilogue. Hurray for happy endings!
