The bible is a collection of old folklore to me, interesting in how it allows us to see how people thought two thousand years ago. What pisses me off is that some people quote from the bible and use it as arguments; it's open to so many interpretations no two Christians can draw the same conclusion from it. Living as god intended is something else from quoting ancient folklore, even if it was more or less written down by the founders of Christianity (which is debatable even). If common sense and respect for others don't agree with the bible I would always go for common sense and respect for others, and the bible is garbage in that many other people think it overrides that. It's being misused as a manual for life by a lot of people, yet it's valuable in that people can draw comfort from it and learn lessons from people who lived two thousand years ago, even if the wording itself is vague or symbolic in many cases.

Indeed, but most of them also use their common sense. It starts being nasty when people don't and use an interpretation of it as an argument against common sense. (e.g. discrimination, terrorism, wars etc). Amish people probably think we are all evil for using technology, although I admit I do not know their doctrine enough to make a definite statement about this.

Both Christianity and Athiesm take faith. One says there is "GOD" one says no there is no "GoD"



I believe that man evolved from the dust of the earth.(God forming him) I would put my faith in a God I cannot see then believe that we call came from big explosion 15 billion years in the making. Anyone who dosen't believe that we came from a "Higher" being is a moron. With "Life" that is so complex and ordered it's hard to believe that we are he simply by random chance.


Couple ?'s for you tone.

1)Why is it so hard for you to believe the bible?
2) If evolution happend(big bang) why did it create order? Don't explosions create chaos?
3) Where are the billions up trillions of transitional fossils(i.e. The dog/cat or monkey/horse.
4) Last but not least if God could create all that we see could he not direct men to write a flawless gospel.


I do understand the some of the versions are different. The King James Version was altered by King James because he was a homosexual.
However most scripture was cannonized by the early church under the direction of christ(God) (cannoized=accepted as doctrine). The bible has been transliterated many times to allow people to read it in all languages.


I'm not a "Religious" person nor do I go to church, I'm not a christian. but christiany is the only religion with a backbone. Look at it like this when Prittik designed contiuum did he make something out of nothing? conituum needed a "Creator" right? Or he could of just randomly punched numbers and bamm he made Kazza and Subspace.
Only a fool would not believe that a higher being made the universe. And if he did that why could he direct prophets, apostles, and diciples to write down a book flawlessly. I mean he only made the Universe.....
