GK, that was a nicely written post, but my understanding is that george bush is the only one who will come out and say that there's any link between 9/11 and saddam. I think the FBI and the CIA both say that they don't see any link.

I was against this war at the beginning, but now all I can do is cheer our troops on (passively of course, I'm not out waving flags and yelling "rah rah") and hope that the outcome is a positive one. we really left the iraqi people in a real shitstorm at the end of desert storm... "rise up and overthrow saddam!" we say, then we leave them to be slaughtered by saddam's stronger-than-expected army. of course they're not very trusting of us, but I hope that Bush deals well with the rebuilding, and doesn't do anything stupid, and earns the trust of the iraqi people back, and shows the world that he had no other motives.

I know this is a lot to ask of a retard hillbilly like GW, but it's all we can hope for because this war is on, and americans protesting are doing nothing but costing us millions in tax dollars and making people late for work (not to mention the ones that start fights and vandalize stuff. real smart, fellas).

I wonder if the protestors even think about what would happen if they got their wish, and we pulled out of this war. That would mean we killed lots of people, and spent whopping assloads of money and didn't free anyone or accomplish anything. The iraqi people don't like saddam.. they don't necessarily like us either, but if we bomb their asses, then pull out.. what then? You can hate the reasons for the start of the war, and you might've protested at the beginning, but it's started now... stopping it would just make it a horrible disaster with nothing positive coming out of it. At least if we finish the job, it's possible that we could give millions of people happier lives.
